[Wishadel Cosplay] Arknights Sarkaz Mercenary: Chilly Battlefield Vibe

When the name Wishadel appeared in the Arknights storyline, it inherently carried a highly intense personal color. When I took on this cosplay, I contemplated how to exhibit the sharp edge of this Sarkaz mercenary. Today's official prints do not pile up too many complex scenes, primarily featuring two sets of backdrops: one is an esports room featuring a Cyberpunk photography style with neon lighting, and the other is a clean, pure red gradient background, as I wanted to see the character's adaptability across different atmospheres.

Let's talk about this costume first. The black-and-red glossy leather cropped jacket sets the overall tone, and the red feather-like decorations at the collar and cuffs are highly eye-catching, carrying a slight angular sturdiness akin to origami. The leather shorts on the lower body couple with cross-shaped red long strip accessories, plus the metal buckle straps at the thighs, making the overall Techwear cosplay vibe immensely robust. Dark pattern designs can also be spotted on the legs, enhancing the character's sense of story. Regarding props, I prepared two items this time: a close-combat dagger and a black automatic rifle. In the cyber neon room, I tried my best to borrow the keyboard and desktop setup close at hand, coordinating with the blades and my inherent cool tone to capture a few shots that feel more casual yet possess a highly potent presence. Meanwhile, in the red-backdropped studio shoot, the shadow cast on the wall instead highlighted the silhouette of the weapons.

For the makeup section, I deliberately elongated the eyeshadow and applied a relatively deep color, which, paired with the silvery-white wig, tries its best to simulate that lazy yet battle-damaged expression of the character. When not smiling, it can convey a sense of oppression belonging to a mercenary. The shooting process was actually highly focused, because this kind of styling carrying a tactical flavor requires controlling the body's exertion of force, keeping both standing and kneeling postures stable. The clothing material is very solid, especially the leather parts, so the reflection is extremely distinct when light hits the clothes, for which I must thank the cooperation of the on-site lighting technician.

I am relatively satisfied with this shoot, especially the texture restoration of materials and props. The contrast between light and dark generated by the glossy leather coat under the lights makes the overall frame more three-dimensional. The straps across the chest and waist exhibit natural swinging when walking; this dynamic feel requires the photographer's candid capture, and we also attempted many movements and freeze-frames on site. The most important thing about making a cosplay debut is to capture the character's charm during the process of physicalization, and Wishadel's cool yet free tone in the game is exactly what I wanted to convey this time. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to see that unruliness and sharpness unique to Sarkaz mercenaries, capable of both roaming inside neon-blinking cities and decisively picking up weapons on a bright red battlefield. As a cosplayer facing such a deep Tactical girl character, I have also consistently been trying to interpret her stance and attitude, touching the core of that two-dimensional persona through expressions and body language.
