[Kisaki cosplay] Blue Archive, slipping into a qipao and picking up a gun

Wearing this dark dragon-pattern qipao and holding a prop gun in front of paper lanterns, I finally organized this photo set of Kisaki. The look in these photos restores the classic setting from the work while blending Chinese-style cosplay elements with a strong sense of contrast. As the Guild Master, Kisaki actually has many different outfits, but this high-slit subtle-patterned qipao paired with black gloves is a design I personally find deeply fitting for her personality while offering immense visual impact.

Having established the Qipao cosplay tone, I put a lot of work into the styling details. The qipao itself is a modified design, with light blue accents on the collar and frog buttons to add a touch of refreshing balance to the deep base tone. Gold-thread dragon embroidery reflects rich texture under the light, while the high-slit design maintains elegance while nicely elongating leg proportions. For the lower half, I paired it with patent leather high heels; since I had to stand and pose on wooden floors for a long time, the soles were specially treated with non-slip pads so I wasn't restricted when walking or turning during shooting. The black gloves on my hands are a finishing touch that connects seamlessly with the weapon, and I even draped a loose black-and-white striped jacket over my shoulders for a casual look, creating a wonderful fusion between military styling and vintage Chinese aesthetics.

The weapon prepared for the shoot was a black prop gun with sharp angles and a distinct mechanical texture, creating a striking contrast with the warm wooden furniture in the room. This time, I also specially prepared scene decorations that fit the theme well: a backdrop of neatly arranged white paper lanterns emitting a soft, hazy warm glow, patterned carpets on the floor, accompanied by side tables, a wooden jewelry box, and classical ancient texts lying open. These props helped me quickly immerse myself into the character's specific setting. Additionally, smoke effects were created on set; when light hit the smoke, the entire frame was instantly endowed with a touch of mystery and enchantment, softening the sharpness of the weapon so that every photo gained unique narrative tension.

Actually, adjusting poses during the shoot required meticulous attention. For instance, in a photo where I sat on a carved wooden chair, I needed to find an angle that balanced commanding presence with comfort, while controlling the direction of the prop gun so it wouldn't block facial lines. To capture attractive leg dynamics and full-body posture, I also had to stay mindful of the high slit's position on the qipao to avoid awkward shifting while moving; having thorough safety undergarments this time allowed me to display the outfit's original design with complete confidence. Since this was a full cosplay photoshoot, the photographer gave great advice on eye contact and hand gestures—for instance, in a few medium close-ups, I consciously used a cool, aloof gaze with subtle natural movements to avoid looking stiff, fitting the Guild Master's composed readiness for battle.

From scene composition to clothing details, full preparations were made during pre-shoot communication for this photo set, including lighting angles, smoke density, and more. In the final photos, the interplay of light and shadow makes the subtle patterns and dragon embroidery on the qipao shine brilliantly. Across various camera angles, whether standing gracefully or leaning lazily against the chair looking back, every shot strove to reflect the character's true charm. Posting this set is mainly to document this creative journey; the sheen of the fabric, the texture of the props, and the light-and-shadow effects of smoke paired with paper lanterns all achieved the fusion of Chinese vintage aesthetics and anime-style photography atmosphere I envisioned.
