[Furina cosplay] Genshin Impact Aquarium photoshoot and Qingdao seaside Official Photos, My Story Has Already Ended

This set of Furina cosplay official photos from Genshin Impact was chosen to be shot at an aquarium and the Qingdao seaside. The cool-toned lighting of the aquarium perfectly matches the character's temperament. To coordinate with the swimming fish and jellyfish in the tanks, I chose this white dress with a bright cyan inner lining. Grooming and styling the wig took a lot of time; the ahoge on top and the gradient hair ends tried to get as close to the character's original design as possible. To restore that sense of lightness, a thick layer of hair wax and hairspray was applied. In terms of makeup, the highlight was on the glitter of the eye makeup. To shoot that watery, translucent texture under cool light, the highlighter was applied very carefully, and it also had to ensure it wouldn't look bloated under the refraction of light in the water. In the few shots in front of the jellyfish tank, to wait for a jellyfish to swim to the right position, my whole body was almost pressed against the glass, and the back-lit blue tone hit my face, illuminating even the details of the eyelashes clearly. The lighting in the jellyfish tank was very dark; to avoid blurry photos, I could only try to keep my posture still while pressing the shutter continuously, with my elbows braced against the glass to stabilize my body.

The skirt hem of the outfit features a multi-layered tiered skirt design, and the outer layer of white light gauze is relatively fluffy, requiring constant shape adjustment so it wouldn't collapse. The chest straps and black satin ribbon were the keys to fixation; a slight looseness would affect the frame proportion. The lower wear was matched with white over-the-knee stockings, with light blue ruffles at the cuffs, so that when squatting or walking, the leg lines could better fit the character's 2D attributes. When shooting in front of the ray tank in the aquarium, due to the dim lighting, we stood in the same spot for a very long time waiting for that large ray to swim into the frame, stepping in black high heels to adjust standing positions back and forth, tensing the calf muscles. The long-train gauze skirt dragged on the aquarium floor, and I had to be careful at all times not to let the skirt hem get rolled into the elevator or stepped on. The light refracted down through the water surface, and mottled light and shadow fell on the clothes, presenting a shimmering effect.

The wind and waves at the Qingdao seaside were very strong, and the rocks were also slippery. Standing on the rocks wearing small black leather shoes and long stockings required supreme effort to maintain balance. When the long-train gauze skirt was blown up by the sea breeze, the visual effect was great, but during actual shooting, it was often blown onto my face, forcing me to tidy it up again and again. The seaside on an overcast day carries a detached, melancholic texture, exactly matching the mood of the line "My story has already ended." Sitting on the rocks watching the waves crash, my whole body was actually shivering from the cold, and the sea breeze blew the wig somewhat messy. To maintain the aesthetic of the frame, the photographer snapped dozens of shots before selecting the satisfactory ones. When the wind picked up on the rocks, I had to tightly grab the skirt hem to prevent it from being blown into the sea. From indoor to outdoor, from the deep blue of the aquarium to the gray-white of the seaside, this set of official photos counts as a complete emotional expression. This work is not only about restoring the appearance, but also about capturing that calm yet slightly fragile atmosphere.
