For this banquet Lumine cosplay styling from Genshin Impact, the costume details were far more intricate than I anticipated. The body of the dress is crafted from a cream-colored fabric with subtle woven jacquard patterns; to support the billowing flare of the skirt hem, several layers of petticoats and lining were stacked underneath. Once worn, the overall weight increased noticeably, restricting my movement. Delicate lace trim is spliced along the shoulder straps and neckline, while the oversized black bow at the back had to be secured to the waist layer by layer with safety pins, adorned further with pink roses and pale-blue ribbons—every adjustment required extreme precision, as even a slight movement would tilt it out of alignment. I trimmed and styled the Blonde wig beforehand as well, striving to keep the blunt bangs and face-framing strands faithful to the original design of Genshin Impact Lumine; combing through it took considerable time to achieve natural, airy volume. As my face would be covered with stickers, makeup focused heavily on a translucent base and crisp eye contouring, maintaining stylistic consistency across the entire atmosphere even without showing my face.
The sun was blazing on the day of the shoot. Carrying my props, I moved back and forth around the floral wall and fountain. Walking on tiled flooring in white crisscross strappy high heels demanded extreme caution with every step, dreading a slip or stepping onto the hem of the dress. To showcase the dynamic motion of the gown and leg lines, I experimented with lifting one leg, allowing the long train to spread naturally across the ground. Later moving beside the fountain, the splashing water and vast sea of purple hydrangeas behind created fantastic visual depth. Reaching out to touch the water stream, the sunlight refracting into shimmering glimmers across the surface looked stunning.
The indoor photo set was shot in a setting reminiscent of a grand banquet hall, backed by warm-toned chandeliers and colossal floral bouquets. Kneeling on a chair with one knee and cradling a pink flower in one hand, I did my best to accentuate the fine details of the gloves and skirt folds. My strongest sensation while shooting this set was pure exhaustion—high heels and heavy underskirts took an immense toll on physical stamina. Yet seeing the camera display that gorgeous, slightly aloof, and melancholic aura made everything worthwhile. Echoing that line, 'We will be reunited at where all journeys end... brother,' this look beautifully conveys a sense of maintaining grace and resolve even in the face of parting.
