The shooting scene this time was chosen in a classroom, and the environment of wooden desks, chairs, and blackboard just happens to restore the atmosphere in the game. To portray the character Shiroko well, the preliminary preparation took a lot of thought. Shiroko's silver-gray long hair has a very strong sense of layering, and when trimming the wig, the fluffiness on top of the head was intentionally retained, and the bangs were also trimmed to have a slightly sharp feel. The most time-consuming part was that pair of wolf ears on the head; to capture a three-dimensional hair texture, the fixed position and angle were adjusted multiple times so that they would look natural and upright in the lens. In terms of makeup, to reflect Shiroko's cold yet somewhat innocent setting, the eye makeup used a reddish-pink blending, and large-area blush is indispensable, paired with bright colored contact lenses. The overall visual impact is relatively strong, and it can also make the character appear more vivid in front of the lens.
The post description mentioned that big dogs are wolves, which also gave me a great deal of inspiration. Although Shiroko looks cold on the outside, she occasionally reveals a very pure and even silly-cute side, so during the shoot, I tried my best to capture this sense of contrast in my expression. For the first picture, I designed a pose of lying prone on the windowsill, with a hand reaching towards the lens and a gaze with a hint of curiosity. Using the window frame as a foreground composition can increase the depth of the frame; at that time, sunlight happened to shine in from outside the window, and the light and shadow effect was very good. The second one is holding an open magazine, with the gaze looking towards the upper-left, and this set of photos mainly aims to capture the quiet moment of the character. To keep the posture from looking stiff, I deliberately relaxed my shoulders and slightly tightened my arms. The third one is standing next to the desks and chairs, with one hand on the waist, placing the dark blue jacket around the waist. This full-body composition can better showcase the matching details of the white shirt, cyan scarf tie, and plaid pleated skirt, and the slightly sideways angle can better highlight the leg lines. The last one is drawing a doodle on the blackboard, paired with the pose of resting the chin, making it look a bit more lively. The graffiti on the blackboard was also drawn casually on the spot after communicating with the photographer, which keeps the background of the frame from appearing empty.
The light on the day of the shoot was very good, and the natural light from the classroom window just happened to capture the translucent quality of the skin. Although the weather in Guangzhou was a bit sultry, wearing this long-sleeved shirt and thick scarf made it easier to enter the character's state, as if truly sitting in that classroom full of stories. As a model, in front of the lens, one must not only pose well, but also understand the character's personality background, turning the flat setting into a vivid picture. For example, controlling the landing point of the gaze, or adjusting hand postures, these details often determine the final temperament of the photos. The props and wig of this costume are relatively complex, and during the shoot, earrings and the tassels of the scarf needed to be frequently tidied up to prevent wardrobe malfunctions. Overall, the experience of this classroom shooting was very smooth; the makeup, styling, photography, and prop cooperation were all in place, and the final presented cosplay photoshoot effect reached my expectations, hoping to completely convey Shiroko's unique temperament.
