Shooting this Cosplay photoshoot for Kaenbyou Rin, a niche character, took a full year from preparation to release. The red twin-tails paired with black cat ears and a red bow—the makeup and wig were done by Huantoumao—giving the overall look a sharp edge. For the outfit, I chose a Gothic style ruffled skirt with a black and green color clash. Combined with props like iron cages, chains, and skulls in the scene, plus the purple-red ambient light, the atmosphere was immediately established. During the shoot, I tried poses like sitting with a hand on my chin and curling one leg, using cat claw gestures to reinforce the character's wicked and cunning temperament. Because the character is niche, I was a bit nervous, but the photographer's guidance made the movements feel natural. A friend said it looked more like a fox, but I think for this kind of exaggerated 2D style interpretation, as long as the expression is on point and fits the core impression of the character, that's enough. In post-production, I mainly adjusted the details of the ambient light's color temperature and shadows to make the contrast between the purple-red and black-green pop. Although it's a niche IP, being able to take the time to create it seriously is a very meaningful thing for me.
