[Dialyn Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Techwear outfit and studio shooting detail records

Today I'm sharing the shooting record of this Zenless Zone Zero Dialyn Cosplay. The design layers of this outfit are very rich; the black, white, and gold color scheme with red and green accents has a strong visual impact. Especially the straps and metal buckles on the top—I struggled for a long time in choosing the fabric, which needed to be crisp yet not too stiff to affect movement. To achieve a natural transition of the black-and-white dual colors for the wig, splicing and styling treatments were used, and the buns and braids on top of the head paired with plush ball hair accessories took nearly two hours to fix properly. That glowing ring prop is the soul of the whole photo set; to make it light up without looking bulky, hidden light strips were run inside, and the outer ring material was specially chosen as lightweight board. During the shoot, I needed to constantly adjust the angles of holding or placing it. For instance, in the squatting pose, the prop had to be placed beside me as a foreground, utilizing the low-key studio lighting to let the warm yellow light from the ring shine through, which just contrasted with the character's black-and-white cool tones. To highlight the combination of overall Techwear style and sexy elements, I paired it with white over-the-knee White stockings and heavy black-and-beige color-blocked shoes. The stockings had a great texture under the lights, but were particularly prone to snagging during the shoot. Combined with the squatting, sitting, and lying poses, I had to constantly pay attention to the position of the hem and leg ring to avoid accidental exposure. In the ground-lying photo, to maintain the upper body curves and leg extension, my waist had to hover in the air for a long time—it was indeed physical labor. In terms of makeup, matching the character's playful feel, the blush and eyeshadow were intensified, paired with amber-colored contact lenses, and the catchlights in the eyes were captured quite accurately. From fitting to prop making, and then to studio lighting adjustments, a lot of energy has been poured into this set of photos. When seeing the finished photos, that sense of satisfaction brought by materializing a virtual character is the biggest motivation for every time I do cosplay. Without too much complicated sentimentality, I just want to make the clothes well and take good photos—this is the true state of me doing cosplay.
