What I'm shooting this time is Shinku from Neverness to Everness. To match the new version's creation incentive event, the photographer and I booked an industrial-style night view venue. The overall styling design has a very strong tension, and the moment I saw the original art setting, I decided to cosplay this set. A lot of effort went into the preparation process, especially that pair of red, blue, and purple crisscrossed alien horns on top of the head, with gradient lightning-shaped patterns, which need to be fixed to the hairnet and wig when wearing to ensure they won't shake even during large movements. The wig chose straight black hair with red highlights on the front bangs, also matched with silver cross-star hair accessories.

The core of the clothing is a loose white long-sleeved shirt with an exaggerated trumpet-like cuff design, full of a flowing feel. The neckline is open, which needs to match the red zigzag body paint at the neck and collarbone. Just for these two patterns, body painting took almost an hour on the shooting day. The lower garment is red shorts, paired with a black belt and silver metal square buckle. Some detailed accessories are hung on the side of the waist, such as small white plush pendants with colored gems and card holders. These small objects visually increase the character's richness. The legs wear white long socks with red zigzag geometric patterns, paired with a pair of black platform high-heeled short boots. The combination of the patterns on the socks and the boots is very eye-catching in front of the lens. When sitting down, special attention needs to be paid to the placement of leg lines and the arrangement of wrinkles so that the patterns can be fully displayed.

The background of the shooting venue is very atmospheric, with red steel structures, blue metal guardrails, and gray metal anti-slip stairs. The overall cold and hard environment coupled with the strong red ambient light on-site perfectly matches the character's color tone. Night shooting lighting is a challenge. To make the character pop out from the red background, the photographer added a main light in the front-side, while utilizing distant yellow starburst lights and green neon as background embellishments. I also have a wide red geometric patterned fabric on my back, which acts like a cloak when moving; it looks great when swinging while standing on the stairs or turning around.

During the shooting process, I tried a variety of poses. Standing with hands on hips, looking back sideways, and sitting on metal steps with crossed legs were mainly to showcase the tailoring proportions and overall aura of this outfit. One shot has me kneeling on the grid metal ground, feeling at the time that this low angle could more comprehensively display the tech-wear/functional feel of the clothing. Shinku as a character has a strong aura, and in terms of expression control, I tried to make my gaze look fierce and confident, cooperating with red contact lenses and makeup to present a cool yet enchanting texture in the picture. Although the night shooting was somewhat exhausting and the horns were a bit heavy, seeing the light and shadow layers and clothing details in the final photos made everything feel worth it. Everyone cooperated very tacitly throughout the shooting process, and we are very satisfied with the restoration degree of this styling.
