[Yin Ziping Cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT's Tian Lu Rui Guang Breaks Through the Dimension

The Tian Lu Rui Guang outfit for Yin Ziping is designed to combine an ethereal aura with clever ingenuity. The transparent butterfly wing hair ornament on top of the head, paired with the pink-and-white gradient hair color and the forehead pendant, perfectly portrays the character's lively temperament. The upper body of the costume weaves blue, white, and gold together, featuring exquisite details on the tight corset, which, along with the arm guards and flowing gauze, creates a very rich layer of depth.

The lower body is the area that draws more attention. White feathers are spliced with multi-layered blue-and-purple thin gauze to form a fluffy short skirt. The hollowed-out design paired with sheer tights featuring white vine textures, along with transparent chunky high heels, visually elongates the leg lines beautifully. This combination of materials retains the charm of classical Chinese aesthetics while adding a touch of fantasy lightness. The sheer stockings' print was actually customized with a specific material; once worn, it relies on light and shadow to present that semi-outlined wavy look. Though this minor detail was quite troublesome, the final effect perfectly fits the character's overall tone.

A lot of effort went into the ground props for this shoot. On the left side, a wooden mortar and pestle are placed, alongside a calligraphy brush, a wooden tray, dried lotus leaves, and seedpods. On the right side sits a woven bamboo multi-drawer cabinet. These detailed settings perfectly fit Yin Ziping's background as a healer/apothecary and prevent the venue's environment from looking monotonous. The pose holding the long sword requires a sense of power, and a pale green tassel hangs below the hilt. To reflect the character's firm expression, I deliberately controlled the force and posture of gripping the sword. Although the low-angle shot sometimes makes me feel a bit distant from the lens, conversely, this camera angle truly maxes out the person's aura.

Since it was shot next to the large glass curtain wall of the convention center, the sunlight filtered through the grid-like window frames, providing a very even and soft diffuse reflection of light, basically eliminating the need for complex fill lights. Although the indoor environment leans modern, once laid with artificial turf and accented with scattered light-colored flowers, the atmospheric feel completely shifts. The floating petals added in post-production also happened to fill the empty space in the middle of the frame, giving the entire photo a stronger dynamic sense of capturing a fleeting moment. However, while the structure of the large glass windows brought excellent lighting, it also caused many reflections. During the shoot, I had to constantly adjust my positioning to avoid the adjacent pillar structures casting harsh black shadows onto the costume.

This venue at the convention center is a place I have shot at a few times in the past, and shooting in a familiar place indeed brings high efficiency. This outfit's layers of feathers and thin gauze are actually quite delicate; entering the hall and transferring between spots required extra care to avoid snagging or messing up the styling. To maintain an overall clean color palette, the makeup was kept as light as possible, focusing the emphasis on the eyeliner definition and the natural flow of the eyelashes while tuning down the lip color to remain harmonious with the blue-and-white tones of the costume.

When shooting a look with wing or ribbon elements, the hardest part is controlling body posture, as a slight movement can easily cause the skirt hem and wings to lose balance. Thanks to the photographer's repeated reminders, I was able to find a well-balanced center of gravity when posing, keeping the lower body stable while holding the sword horizontally across my chest. Although the low-angle perspective helps elongate body proportions, it poses a challenge for keeping the sword perfectly level, requiring core arm strength to lock the wrists. The small objects on the prop ground also played a great role in guiding the gaze, letting the eyes follow the extension of the legs down to the tip of the sword through professional cosplay photography.

I am quite satisfied with this photoshoot myself, as the pictures present that restrained yet sharp feeling of the character. There wasn't too much unnecessary affectation; everything was strictly aligned with the character setting. The open natural light of the convention center, combined with the exquisite makeup and styling, gave this Chinese-style fantasy character a truly vivid sense of reality.
