Shooting this kind of Summer swimsuit theme really tests the comfort of the outfit and the naturalness of the poses. Pairing a white camisole with red horns and pink hair instantly set the overall tone. I chose this white camisole because it works effortlessly with any lighting, capturing great texture under indoor natural light, and white naturally brings a cooling filter to summer photos. The small red horns were secured on a headband so they wouldn't easily fall off even after prolonged wear, but adjusting the strands of the wig to keep it neat took quite a while.

Facial makeup was the main focus. The green colored contacts were striking with natural, smooth edges rather than a harsh, artificial look. Blending the red eyeshadow took careful calibration—it couldn't be too heavy like a bruise, nor too subtle to lose that dangerous edge. To achieve a wide-eyed effect, eyelashes were applied cluster by cluster, finished with chunky silver glitter that created a watery shimmer under the light. Paired with looking up into the camera, the gaze became both innocent and subtly aggressive. The base makeup was kept translucent with light contouring to refine the facial structure.

Holding that blue fish prop in my mouth was purely for fun, but executing it was much harder than anticipated. The fish had some weight, requiring careful bite control to keep it from slipping, and the cold surface against my lips tested my endurance. Yet it was precisely that slight discomfort that caused my facial muscles to tense up naturally, capturing an expression with a hint of stubbornness and defiance.

We adjusted camera angles countless times during the shoot. We needed to highlight summer coolness—such as the lines of the collarbone and neckline—while maintaining the character's aloof and playful demeanor, making the gaze direction absolutely critical. We burst into laughter multiple times because the fish fell out repeatedly. Capturing a few natural, striking frames was truly hard-won. Post-processing was kept minimal, mainly boosting contrast for a cooler porcelain skin tone and enhancing the eye catchlights, preserving the raw shot's crisp, translucent texture.

The entire process was a blast, leaving me with plenty of fresh inspiration for summer styling.
