For this shoot, I specifically chose a pure white cyclorama studio to push the clean, translucent aesthetic to its absolute limit. The outfit is from KIRAKIRA's Vow series—a bodycon bodysuit splicing white lace and satin. It fits very snugly, featuring extensive cutout designs across the abdomen and waist accented by intricate lace frills along the borders. Slipping into it, the first impression was how seamlessly the fabric hugged my curves; despite the generous cutouts, the clever contouring of the lace prevented any slackness. A white lace choker and the blue-and-gold butterfly gem brooch on the chest provided sharp visual focal points against the pure white canvas.

For styling, I wore a silver-white long straight wig with blunt bangs, crowned with a pair of fluffy white animal ears. The makeup emphasized ice-blue contact lenses and an expansive flush of pink blush across the cheeks, as pink blush over fair skin brings out a luminous, dewy glow. On the side of the head, I styled white and blue silk flower ornaments with pearl tassels, topped by a delicate white lace bridal veil to introduce dimensional layering.

Collaborating with photographer Feiyu was an absolute breeze. High-key portrait photography genuinely tests lighting precision, as pairing a pure white background with light-colored garments easily blurs subject boundaries. We used side rim lighting to carve out body contours while applying soft fill light directly to the face, preventing overexposure while preserving facial depth. The sheer tulle train appeared weightless under the studio strobes, and its subtle lavender scalloped hem kept the palette from feeling stark or monochrome. Sheer white lace detached sleeves framed my arms, contouring arm lines elegantly whenever I extended my poses.

To complement this look, I experimented with multiple postures. The first shot was sitting on a white carved round stool, holding a small white gift box with an upright spine and legs angled neatly together. The second pose had me pulling up one leg on the stool—a pose perfectly suited to spotlighting the semi-sheer lace-topped White over-the-knee socks and pure white pumps. Pointing my toes not only elongated the leg line visually, but the high-key lighting also brought out every delicate woven pattern of the lace. The third and fourth shots were standing poses: resting my weight on one leg while lifting the tulle skirt, highlighting how the violet-blue faux roses at the waist resonated with the overall aesthetic.

The set dressing—a round table draped in white tulle, woven baskets, tea sets, and a decorative birdcage—served to give the composition grounded focal anchors beyond the figure, weaving an afternoon tea fantasy in a pure white realm. The trickiest part with this style is garment maintenance: any crease in the lace becomes glaringly obvious under high-resolution lenses, demanding careful smoothing of the hem and sleeves after each move. Also, to prevent eye fatigue from wearing colored contacts, eye drops were essential between takes to keep the gaze crystal clear and lively. The resulting set captured that pristine, slightly cool, and ethereal tone we were striving for.
