A lot of prep work went into shooting this Salter look. Because the character has a cold and ruthless disposition, I had to practice that emotionless gaze in front of the mirror repeatedly. We chose a pure white space featuring a massive white cross and feathered wings, paired with an ultra-reflective black floor; this extreme black-and-white contrast was ideal for highlighting the character's fierce duality. During the shoot, the photographer's lighting setup was meticulous—an overhead key light combined with side rim lights beautifully outlined the silhouette of the long legs in black stockings. The highlight of this outfit is the slip-dress cut; paired with dark gloves and black stockings, the snug fit accentuates body curves without compromising the character's cold, glamorous aura. When seated, to showcase the complete leg lines, I deliberately pointed my insteps while keeping my back perfectly straight. The longsword prop had a great tactile feel, its solid heft in hand effectively enhancing the commanding presence of a sovereign during pointing gestures. Posing on the reflective floor was a serious test of core strength because the surface was slippery, requiring careful precision when extending my legs. Between takes, I discussed with the photographer and gaffer how to make the red contact lenses pop more clearly under the lights to enhance that intimidating, oppressive stare. From this experience in Anime-style photography, I realized that for high-contrast black-and-white sets, what truly matters is using body lines to convey emotion rather than just striking static poses. The reflections mirroring on the floor added richer depth to the overall composition. I hope everyone enjoys the unique atmosphere created against this pure backdrop of reflective floors and white wings. Special thanks to the photographer for their hard work on the lighting and pose nuances.
