I began prepping this combination of a sailor uniform and black shorts half a month in advance. To match the stance on the standee, I deliberately layered the wig, styled the twin tails, and topped it with this white baseball cap, adjusting the brim angle against the wig's weight to prevent it from feeling top-heavy. The tailoring around the waist and midriff is quite precise; the midriff-baring design required prior skincare prep so that standing for long photo sessions at the convention wouldn't look greasy. I wore black wristbands and strapped black sandals on my feet. While walking through the crowded exhibition hall in those sandals was exhausting, I wore them all day to keep the look authentic.

Standing in front of the purple starry sky standee, the photographer and I adjusted our angles repeatedly to recreate that lifted leg and outstretched hand pose. Because dynamic action shots easily throw off balance, we deliberately left extra room in the composition for the legs to extend, creating better proportions. The on-site lighting was tricky: the overhead venue lamps combined with the backlight from the standee caused noticeable facial highlights, so we slightly pulled down the highlights in post-processing to maintain natural translucency. The convention was packed with foot traffic and fellow fans taking group photos. To avoid messing up the wig and outfit, I kept my movements measured and adopted posing techniques used by pro cosplayers, such as turning sideways and extending a leg toward the lens so wide-angle lenses wouldn't shorten leg proportions or get blocked by crowds nearby. The makeup was also coordinated with the outfit's color scheme; soft orange eyeshadow shared the same warm palette as the blonde hair, boosting overall lighting harmony. When walking, the black leg straps occasionally caught on the shorts, so I had to straighten the lines repeatedly before shooting to keep the waist and leg silhouettes crisp. Even though convention photo runs are tiring and wearing a long wig with a cap indoors felt stuffy, immersing myself in the character and matching her exact poses made me feel completely in sync. Day 2 was a blast, and capturing this cosplay work in photos is the finest keepsake.
