[Altria cosplay] Fate/Grand Order Saber Alter's Quiet Church Moment

The lighting through the church's stained glass was particularly transparent today, perfectly colliding with this Saber Alter styling to create a wonderful chemical reaction. The overall scene was chosen in such a space with Western classical elements, with pure white statues, candelabras, and wooden flooring providing a great foundation for the photos.

In terms of costume, this time I chose the black formal dress version of the styling. The dark blue main color scheme paired with black multi-layered inner linings, along with the cross-straps and silver-white embroidery at the waist, has a very strong texture. To highlight the character's traits, I put some effort into the accessories. The black elbow-length long gloves are the key to elevating the aura; the glove fabric fits very well, but wrinkles needed frequent adjustment during the shooting process to ensure smooth lines. The deep blue choker on the neck echoes the large bow on the side of the hair, and the wig's light gold and blunt bangs modified the face shape, which, combined with red lips and cool-toned eye makeup, makes the overall facial appearance look sharper.

Speaking of props, that black giant sword is definitely a heavyweight. The red and black interwoven patterns on the blade are very aggressive. To master it, I tried various sword-holding postures. Dragging the hilt with one hand or supporting the sword with both hands both required strong core and arm strength. Especially when standing on wooden floors wearing high heels, maintaining physical stability while balancing a cold expression indeed required concentrated attention.

During the shooting process, the combination of Black stockings and red-bottomed high heels is where I think the sexiness and cold glamour of this styling are best manifested. The photo sitting on the steps looks lazy and casual, but it actually requires very precise control of the body's center of gravity. To make the leg lines appear sleeker wrapped in Black stockings, the right leg is slightly bent with the toe touching the ground, and the left leg hangs down naturally, allowing the photographer to shoot from a side-front angle. This posture can fully display the curve of the high heels and the texture of the Black stockings. The light hitting the legs creates a contrast between light and shade that makes the texture more prominent.

The shooting rhythm of this set of photos was relatively compact. To match the light filtering through the stained glass, we captured many moments. The direction and intensity of the light changed quickly, requiring constant adjustments to body orientation. Sometimes, to let the light fall right on the side of the face, the neck would get quite sore. This outfit is actually not lightweight; long gloves, a choker, plus a wig, in a stuffy indoor environment, pose a considerable test to physical strength, but seeing the interlaced light and shadow in the final photos makes all these states feel worthwhile. The character Saber Alter has a unique kingly aura in her design; showcasing this temperament through the black formal dress, great sword, and specific scenes is something I have always wanted to try. This attempt gave me a deeper understanding of body language and expression control, and also accumulated experience for my next creation.

In scene arrangement, the black and white checkerboard floor, wooden steps, and stained glass formed rich framing layers. I particularly like the composition of the photo sitting on the steps; the colored glass windows in the background provided great color embellishment, and the irregular color blocks formed a sharp contrast with the dark blue skirt. To capture this color collision, the photographer utilized window backlighting and indoor fill light to achieve a just-right balance of color saturation in the frame. In several pictures leaning against the wall or sitting on a chair, the shoulder lines and back whitespace were mainly highlighted, with the long gloves playing a great decorative role here. From the perspective of visual communication, Black stockings, red-bottomed high heels, and black gloves formed a unified sense of black, but the red bottom of the high heels broke this dullness, being very eye-catching as a visual focal point. Throughout the shooting process, my state gradually shifted from initial tension to relaxation, finally presenting a natural coldness. Rather than posing rigidly, it is better to immerse oneself in that quiet environment. This Saber Alter styling is very different from other styles I've tried before, leaning more towards maturity, dominance, and sternness. Through this shoot, I understand more clearly that costume cutting, materials, and even heel heights will directly affect the character's presentation state.
