Putting on this uniform of Ellen Joe and grabbing the giant mechanical scythe, I instantly entered combat mode. This shoot was set under an industrial-style red steel frame structure, where the red and blue lighting at night maxed out the atmosphere, matching beautifully with the character's cool yet slightly lazy temperament. The scythe prop was much heavier than imagined; holding it up with a single hand required tightening my core to maintain a stable posture, but the moment I received the final images, it felt like everything was totally worth it. The metallic chains of the skirt hem and the details of the belt showed excellent texture under the flash. The black-and-white color-schemed maid outfit combined with mechanical elements represents the unique design aesthetics of Zenless Zone Zero. The switching between squatting and standing postures was tried repeatedly several times; to find the optimal angle between the blade and the body lines, my knees became a bit sore, but the photographer captured the exact feeling we wanted. The restoration of this cosplay places its key focus on the messy hair treatment of the wig and the red detail embellishments in the eye makeup, making the gaze look sharper and colder. Although the venue was massive, coordinating with the prop and the environment instead brought out more tension, making me feel like a hollow hunter waiting for a commission in some abandoned industrial zone. Every time I cosplay a character with a heavy weapon, I understand that composure in the character setting even more, which serves as a great challenge to my styling abilities.
