[Alice Cosplay] Identity V Rabbit Hole Exploration, Straight out of camera from the Greenhouse

After tumbling down the rabbit hole, today I'm sharing the third batch of final cuts for my Journalist cosplay as Alice. For this shoot on May 8th, the scene was chosen inside a wooden greenhouse overflowing with blooming flowers, paired with vintage stairs, wooden windowsills, and some exquisite rabbit plushies, forging a fairytale atmosphere as if entering a miniature kingdom.

Regarding the outfit, this time we opted for a classic color-blocking combo of sky blue and pure white. Golden blonde curly twin-tails matched with a sky-blue bow headband in the same shade echo the agile nature of Alice from Identity V. The dress utilizes a cut that patches multi-layered trimmings with ruffles, layered over a white puffy bubble-sleeve base shirt, paired with an outer apron-style dress that also features alternating blue and white. That detailed round button at the waist is the absolute crowning touch of the entire dress, while providing an excellent waist-slimming effect. On my feet, I slipped into white lace ankle socks and light blue Mary Jane flats, bursting with a vintage feel and a playful, childlike essence, perfect for this Greenhouse portrait concept.

The greenhouse set on the shoot day was truly magnificent—not only was it surrounded by a massive amount of faux flora, but there were also two plush rabbit dolls of varying sizes cooperating as props. Sitting on the wooden steps while cradling a rabbit, it felt exactly like stepping right into a fairytale book. Additionally, there was a scene with a wooden-framed mirror; taking half-body shots using the mirror reflection carried an inherent flavor of a vintage pictorial poster. Because it was straight out of camera, it heavily tested the photographer's proficiency in handling lighting. Photographer Longxiang patiently adjusted the angle of the reflector, ensuring the facial lighting was even and soft, which perfectly preserved the color saturation of the clothing and the vividness of the scene. With zero complex post-production color grading, the skin texture and fabric weave looked entirely natural.

This time I also experimented with standing poses on the wooden stairs against a dark patterned background; the movement of lifting the skirt hem beautifully displayed the dress's layered details and the coordination of the shoes and socks. After finishing the entire set, I feel the colors and composition are incredibly comfortable, recording this wondrous exploration journey with the most honest, straight out of camera raw cuts. I hope this fairytale atmosphere from the Greenhouse portrait brings everyone a fantastic visual experience.
