Putting on this outfit of Alice, wearing the iconic golden roulette headwear, and walking into this wooden study stacked with ancient books, I instantly felt like I had traveled into the world of Teyvat. The set design this time truly has magicāthe old-fashioned telephone, the brass desk lamp, the leather-covered thick books, and that huge globe; every single item looks like it was moved straight out of an ancient library. To restore the character's temperament, I put a lot of heart into managing the makeup and wig, especially the layered sense of the hair gradient and the fixation of the headwear, which were adjusted repeatedly several times to achieve the current effect. The costume holds many detailsāthe red and blue pieced cuffs, the star-shaped decoration on the chest, and those white over-knee socks are all striving to stay as close to the original work as possible. To capture that natural witch atmosphere during the shoot, I tried sitting on the carpet flipping through books, leaning against the desk in deep thought, and a standing full-body posture. The photographer's control over light and shadow was perfectly on point; the afternoon sunlight spilled through the window panes onto the book spines and the carpet, giving the entire frame a sense of breathing. This set of photos is not just a pose-and-shoot after putting on clothes, but moreover aims to convey Alice's mysterious yet energetic personality through the scene and actions. Because she in Genshin Impact is always linked with adventures and stories, I chose to complete this shoot in a study so full of narrative feel. Every time I do a location shoot or a studio shoot, I re-examine my understanding of the character. I am highly satisfied with this attempt, and I hope everyone can feel a bit of the Teyvat witch's unique charm through the lens.
