[Alice Cosplay] Goddess of Victory: Nikke, Pink and White Weapon and Convention Photos

The convention photoshoot at Hefei Dimension Gate wrapped up smoothly. The visual presentation of this look focuses on the pink and white color palette and an overall sense of lightness. The combination of pink twin tails and a white lace dress, paired with white lace gloves and a crystal pendant on the neck, took a lot of thought in terms of details. To increase the overall layered look, I deliberately chose these pink bow platform heels. They not only elongate the leg lines but also help me stand firm in a crowded convention environment, maintaining the overall proportions and a specific aura much better than ordinary flat shoes.

The highlight brought along this time is the large pink and white prop gun. With its black and pink handguard and scope structure, the prop has a very strong texture, and its color matches the outfit perfectly. This unique anime contrast of "cuteness and firepower" has always been the most appealing aspect of such looks. However, weaving through the exhibition hall carrying such a long gun truly requires some stamina; keeping the arms steady is necessary to ensure the weapon's center of gravity doesn't shift during shooting. The weight of the long gun and the lightness of the wig form a stark contrast, requiring constant center-of-gravity adjustments.

The ambient lighting at the shooting site was very complex. The dense matrix lights on the ceiling intertwined with the lighting from surrounding booths, posing high demands on the camera's white balance and the rendering of skin tones. The photographer cleverly applied a grayscale fading treatment to the background environment in post-production. This was indeed a smart move, as it made the subject's pink and white colors stand out in the frame, instantly focusing the visual attention on the character. The pose in picture one used a relatively stable standing stance, utilizing the spread of the legs to support the extension of the leg lines, while perfectly presenting the geometric composition of the weapon and body in the frame. The hair-tossing action in picture two really tested my stamina. It required maintaining balance while lifting one leg with a highly concentrated center of gravity, while the photographer opposite had to accurately capture the exact moment the skirt flared and the hair swung. This action was primarily to showcase the outfit details of the skirt and tights.

I deeply resonate with the hair tossing and post-processing mentioned in the post title. For this fluffy and lightweight wig, on-site shooting really required at least two people assisting with fans, or manually shaking the wig between shots to achieve dynamic effects. And the copy-pasting and edge processing of the hair ends on the left in picture one during post-production indeed required immense patience—it had to maintain the physical logic of the hair strands without looking too stiff. This semi-realistic, semi-cartoonish final output style perfectly suits the anime attributes of this look, maximizing the retention of the character's sweetness and combat vibe.

The interior space of the Hefei Dimension Gate exhibition hall was spacious enough. Although there were other attendees and photography equipment in the background, by using a wide aperture for bokeh, combined with secondary composition and grayscale treatment in post-production, the attention in the entire set of images was completely focused on the character. Compared to pure studio lighting setups, although Anime convention photos require overcoming more actual interferences like passersby photobombing and cluttered venues, the genuine light, shadows, and passionate anime atmosphere unique to convention sites cannot be simulated in a studio. For such high-intensity convention shoots, allocating time for convention photos and independent studio shoots in advance is particularly important, ensuring that the makeup, hair, props, and action designs of every segment receive the fullest visual presentation. This look achieved uniformity in color and element coordination; the embellishments of pink, white, and black make the entire visual exceptionally clean.
