Right in time for the Genshin Impact Citlali rerun banner, I re-shot these finished photos of my Obsidian Grandma cosplay for an Anime-style photography piece. For this appearance, I specially commissioned a brand-new background set design and replaced my previous wig with a customized one that has better details. Judging from the results of the shoot, these preparations were definitely worth it.

Let's talk about the key highlights this time. The wig features a light-pink to dark-pink gradient color scheme, with a hair texture that is smoother and fluffier than before. The braids on both sides are secured with metal ring buckles, requiring the stylist to spend quite a bit of time arranging and positioning them. The headpiece with blue-black decorations on top of the head pairs with the two long braids, maximizing the sense of layering in the overall styling. For the makeup, I naturally kept the character's iconic blue geometric pattern under the lower eyelids; paired with light blue contact lenses, it makes the coolness and sense of contrast in her gaze much easier to express.

The coordination of the various parts of the costume is also very sophisticated. The metal ring decorations at the waist and the cross tie are the most eye-catching parts of the entire look. The blue gemstone in the center of the belt has a great texture. The sleeves, featuring a black, gold, and dark blue color scheme, create a smooth tone transition with the dark blue-purple gradient skirt hem of the lower body. The lace-up platform sandals also complement the leg shape nicely, and these details are displayed very clearly in the standing poses.

The shooting process actually had a little hiccup. We originally planned an outdoor shoot, but it started showering that day, forcing us to quickly move indoors. Fortunately, the studio at XiTang Lighting Art happened to have a similar ethnic-style lounge area. The dark purple backdrop paired with the exotic patterned carpet unexpectedly captured that mysterious and lazy home atmosphere of this Genshin Impact character. The photographer's composition was very precise; the full-body standing pose (Figure 3) allows a complete view of the costume layers, while the sitting pose holding that large blue-and-white big-eyed plushie perfectly captured some gap-moe in her personality.

Reflecting on this whole set of photos, the biggest regret is that due to the hot weather and being in a rush on the shooting day, I actually forgot to apply the tattoo stickers on my legs. Although I could only rely on post-processing Photoshop to add the leg tattoos after going home, looking at the edited photos, I always feel that they lack a bit of authentic skin texture. However, this also gives me a perfect opportunity for a re-shoot. I am already waiting for the cosplay costume of her new skin to arrive. That outfit has much richer colors, and I plan to shoot it again using the same set design. This time, I will definitely prepare the tattoos in advance and never make such a low-level mistake again. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the finished photos recorded for this rerun project, and I will continue to refine this character once the new outfit arrives.
