[Elysia Cosplay] Off-Site Snapshots from Honkai Impact 3rd at Kunshan Utopia Comic Convention

This set of off-site recovery photos was taken together with @TuGouGouGouGou during the Kunshan Utopia Comic Convention. Seeing some girls saying they were too socially anxious to come talk to me, actually there's no need to be nervous at all—I had already noticed you from the corner of my eye. As a subject being shot, being recorded in photos is in itself a wonderful form of recognition.

Preparing this look in the early stages took quite some thought, with continuous adjustments from the wig to the accessories. The layered cutting style of the pink hair with straight bangs is key, and paired with the ear-hook design of the elf ears, it ensures both comfort and the restoration of the character's signature lightness. The black-and-white beast horns and white flower headband on the headpieces add fullness to the top when shooting from low or high angles, blending beautifully with the pink hair color.

The costume mainly features a black-and-white spliced open-back tailored cut. The upper body's puff sleeves combined with the off-the-shoulder design bring a visual expansion, which is actually very friendly to the shoulder lines. The fine embroidered dark patterns on the long gloves fully reveal their texture under outdoor light, a detail that is very difficult to replicate in indoor studio shoots. The deep-colored corset area uses several gold squares as embellishments, breaking the heaviness of the dark fabric.

I especially want to talk about the back structure—several thin black straps paired with open-back splicing beautifully highlight the lines of the back and shoulder blades while ensuring nothing slips out of place. The lower half features a multi-layered skirt hem paired with draped white large streamers, providing excellent dynamic extension when walking or turning without looking flat. The white over-the-knee stockings paired with lace cuffs and garters, along with the black chunky platform Mary Jane shoes, visually elongate the leg proportions, while the shoe soles also make walking around the outdoor venue for long hours relatively easy.

The natural light that afternoon in Kunshan was exceptionally translucent, casting a cool-toned aura when shining on the white fabric. We didn't deliberately strike too many complex poses, focusing more on capturing snapshots of walking, turning, or looking back with a small plate. The dynamic state captured by hitting the shutter right when the breeze blew the skirt hem was instead much more vivid than rigid posing. In post-processing, I didn't add heavy filters, only adjusting the skin tone and exposure to restore the actual colors seen on-site.

Shooting at conventions is indeed quite physically draining, but the overall lightness of this outfit on my body, combined with the outdoor natural light and shadow, made the entire shooting process highly enjoyable. When wearing this type of detailed costume, it is highly important to check the securing of hair clips and the tightness of straps in advance so that you won't run into issues of tilted accessories or tight strap marks while walking around, ensuring clean final photos. Organizing these convention photos, I can still remember the fusion between the venue's outdoor architecture and the character's temperament on that day, and I hope everyone can feel this clear and transparent atmosphere under the outdoor sunshine through these photos.
