Today, July 6th, is Leopard's birthday. Taking advantage of this special occasion, I dug into the vault to share this vintage Araga Kiwi photoshoot created alongside the lovely Keke and photographer Xingyou. Though shot quite some time ago, looking back reminds me of just how much care went into the styling and makeup.

Starting with the cosplay styling details: to capture Araga Kiwi's essence, I selected a golden blonde bob wig with subtle inward curls and blunt, cleanly trimmed bangs. For makeup, the focus was placed squarely on the eyes, paired with vivid red contact lenses to channel both feline cunning and the perilous, edgy allure unique to this magical girl. True to her canonical design, I applied black four-pointed star decals of varied sizes across the collarbones and chest—a detail that caught directional studio lights with sharp graphic presence.

The wardrobe centered on a black bandeau crop top paired with high-waisted fitted black shorts, accented at the hip with black branch-like feather plumes. The undisputed highlights were the oversized plush accessories: black beast ears edged in crisp white trim at the crown, elongated black plush arm warmers, and most crucially, the massive black plush Cat paw gauntlets complete with soft pink paw pads in the palms. Matched with over-the-knee Black stockings and enormous plush paw boot warmers on the feet, the silhouette was enveloped in tactile, fluffy volume. Handling any props with these giant paws was virtually impossible during the shoot, but for the final visual payoff, I struck various gestures—raising claws high and kneeling to flaunt the cute pink pads.

The white leather sofa staging that day proved wonderfully versatile. We explored diverse compositions: leaning forward across the sofa edge, perching upright with a cheek rested on one hand, and slightly elevating both legs as shown to display the paw boots and leg lines. Deep black plush can easily swallow light under warm tungsten bulbs, turning into a flat silhouette, which truly tested the photographer's lighting finesse. Xingyou handled this masterfully—blending side and overhead kickers to illuminate the fluffy fleece texture with crisp edge separation. Layering sheer Black stockings with plush leg warmers elongated vertical proportions cleanly. The small black plush doll patterned with yellow stars staged nearby was an impromptu set piece that added a touch of candid playfulness to the scene.

Collaborating with Keke was an absolute delight. We shared an aligned interpretation of Araga Kiwi and her alter-ego Kiwi, making our on-set chemistry and pose transitions feel effortless. Although these shots are from an earlier shoot in the archives, reviewing them always brings back vivid memories of waddling around the studio encased in those hefty plush paws. Today on Leopard's birthday, sharing this plush-packed magical girl cosplay serves as a fond commemorative tribute to this special occasion.
