Today I'm cosplaying Alyosha, the lad from Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact. While keeping the core hallmarks of the character intact, I incorporated a subtle personal tweak—most noticeably swapping out his original earmuffs for a pair of iKF over-ear headphones. Since this kid loves listening to tunes, sporting headphones during the shoot not only fits an everyday setting, but also infuses the look with a fresh, contemporary streetwear vibe.

Speaking of the attire, this ensemble boasts rich textural layering. The white cropped capelet is finished with crimson edge-piping, anchored at the neckline by a plush, thick white fur collar. Don't underestimate that fur trim—if the room gets even slightly warm during shooting, your neck will start sweating profusely. The capelet's outer surface features muted light-gray geometric motifs, providing very faithful detail. Layered underneath is a long-sleeved blue jacket outfitted with zippers, silver metallic buckles, and cascading khaki ribbon accents, with strings of red beads trimming the lower hem. Putting it on meant smoothing out each layer meticulously, especially that red-and-white arrow emblem with a silver border across the chest; dialing in its alignment took considerable time, as even the slightest tilt would look off. The gloves are deep purple leather adorned with red triangles on the back of the hands; they felt remarkably sturdy to wear, though they did restrict finger dexterity a bit, making handling the headphones or posing slightly slower than usual.

For the wig, the mint-green short hair went through several rounds of cutting and trimming. To achieve an organic, airy fullness, hair wax and freeze spray were used generously. I deliberately kept an upturned ahoge cowlick on top of the head—an absolute soulful hallmark of the character. On the makeup side, the foundation was kept quite pale, with the main focus placed on the blush. To embody the biting chill of Snezhnaya, blush was swept broadly across the center of the face and the tip of the nose, paired with light hazel-brown contact lenses to simulate a flush from the frosty cold.

During shooting, the poses had to match the visual weight of the heavy garments rather than looking stiff or constrained. Frames included extending one hand forward toward the lens, crossing clenched fists over the chest, or turning to profile with a slight downward tilt of the head. Because the indoor backdrop consisted of white wardrobe doors and light hardwood flooring, the ambient lighting was evenly diffused with a cool-white cast. For expression management, I dialed back my usual animated demeanor in favor of a cool, slightly nonchalant gaze, occasionally relaxing before the camera to channel the effortless state of enjoying music. This photoset required conscious bodily tension: because of all the bundled layers, slipping up for even a moment would make me look like a bulky cylinder, so I had to open up the silhouette through deliberate body language—such as how widely my hands spread and the tilt of my shoulders. The entire session went very smoothly, and I'm glad to have presented Alyosha's gear in full.

As for the headphones, the chosen iKF over-ear model not only completed the visual silhouette around the head, but also offered great ergonomic comfort without pinching my ears during prolonged shooting—definitely a versatile accessory I can repurpose for future modern-style cosplays.
