These CD29 convention photos were taken outside the venue before the close of CD29 for Lady Puff; sorted them out fresh to chat about the shoot. The most eye-catching part of this Convention styling is definitely the yellow wide-brimmed hat and bunny ears, paired with a light blue-green shirt, yellow-and-white striped tie, and white long arm sleeves, creating a remarkably fresh color palette. The lower half features an army green cargo mini-skirt with a belt and brown buckle boots, with blue thigh straps added for extra playfulness. A major highlight of this shoot is the small vintage yellow camera in hand, which served both as a character prop and a great interactive tool for shooting. Crowds outside the convention were massive; to avoid cluttered passersby, we specifically found an open corner where the photographer utilized shallow depth of field and a wide aperture to beautifully blur out the background exhibition center architecture and crowds, highlighting the subject. It was actually an overcast day, and the diffused light was very soft, imparting a crisp, clear feel. For posing, several postures were tested, including crouching, raising the camera toward the lens, holding the hat brim with both hands, and raising one arm cheering. The most photogenic shot was the one-leg standing pose; balancing took some effort to adjust my center of gravity, which nicely elongated leg lines to look poised and tall. In convention shots, a messy background ruining the composition is the biggest concern, making a telephoto lens paired with a wide aperture very practical. The outfit itself was very comfortable to wear—the combination of a short skirt and tall boots made movement easy without tripping when walking through crowds. Whenever cosplaying such energetic and cute characters, I prefer capturing dynamic moments, as static standing often looks too stiff. Working with the photographer was seamless; he guided me on casually glancing toward the lens to capture natural expressions. Overall, this was a very pleasant Portrait photography experience for this Amiya cosplay from Arknights, with costume textures and prop details handled beautifully—a perfect conclusion to this convention.
