[Texas cosplay] Arknights Domino's Collaboration, Hitting the Streets with Vigil

This offline event for the Domino's collaboration finally brought me and Vigil into the same frame. This Texas outfit has so many details: the blue and white vest with golden buttons, the metallic chains at the waist, and that little bear ornament. To recreate the in-game texture, we repeatedly adjusted the accessories several times. The wig was given a blue-ish highlight treatment this time, and the wolf ears on top were specially selected from materials with a clear hair-stroke texture, allowing them to naturally fit the curve of the crown during the shoot.

Vigil on the right wears his classic brown leather jacket paired with a gray-blue shirt, where the black collar at the neckline and those small colorful buttons perfectly echo the playful elements in his character design. We took this photo together in front of the constructed exhibition area. The on-site lighting was quite even, making the skin tone look very natural without over-smoothing, preserving the fabric's original weave and the leather's reflections. We also fine-tuned the shoulder width and waistline proportions of this look to embody the character's sleek crispness without appearing bulky.

Regarding the accuracy of the collaboration outfit, we actually went back and forth for a long time over the inner shirt's neckline and cuff length. In the end, we chose this slightly unbuttoned way of wearing it, which fits Texas's usual casual yet clean look while making it easy to move the arms. The double-buckle design of the leather belt and the drape of the waist chain are also key focuses of this styling. To prevent the chains from tangling with each other when walking, we specially used subtle clasps to secure them.

While shooting, there happened to be passersby walking past, and many fellow fans came over with collaboration posters to take photos together, giving the entire makeup and styling look a more realistic feel in this offline atmosphere. Although there was a long queue waiting, being able to wear my beloved character's costume to participate in an official collaboration offers an immersive sense that cannot be replaced by any other occasion. This set of photos doesn't feature complex post-processing effects; it mainly aims to display the costume's inherent texture and the character's natural state. After all, the core of casual cosplay is still about understanding the character's temperament and physical recreation accuracy.
