[Amiya Cosplay] Loungewear Cosplay Vibe with Black Tights and Bunny Ears: Documenting Photoshoot Details

I've organized this set of Amiya cosplay photos, and looking at the images on the screen, I want to share a few thoughts about this photoshoot with everyone. Since the overall look leans toward outdoor techwear, combined with those iconic "chestnut corn sticks" atop my head—that pair of long bunny ears—I paid special attention to capturing the right expressions and details for character fidelity.

When I received this wig, its hair density and structural support were actually very good. To simulate that fluffy yet upright feel of the "two corn sticks" on top, I did some minor styling inside the bunny ears and secured them at the crown using a combination of clips and bobby pins. This is quite a technical task, because if not secured firmly, turning my head even slightly would cause the ears to droop. After styling the bangs, I also had to consider the overall head shape to avoid looking top-heavy. The teal-blue contact lenses were the soul of this makeup look; paired with slightly downturned light red eyeshadow, they gave my eyes an innocent yet focused look that fits the character's traits perfectly.

As for the costume, pairing a black jacket with a teal-blue lapel adds rich visual layering. The coat features various functional pocket designs complemented by badge accents, creating a rich texture. The inner top consists of multi-layered navy blue ruffles, with a brown bow tie at the neckline to soften the palette, plus a blue choker so the neck area doesn't look too bare. For the bottom half, a blue plaid miniskirt paired with a black tights outfit and blue anklets on my feet shows thoughtful color coordination.

During shooting, I specifically picked a clean white curtain and white blanket as the backdrop to maximize focus on the main subject without distracting environmental clutter. Among the photos you see, my favorite is the one where my legs are stretched forward and my hand rests near my mouth with a playful touch. This shot nicely showcases the balance between functionality and fashion in this outfit, presenting the texture of the black tights outfit and leg lines naturally—neither overly flashy nor unnatural, while capturing a relaxed loungewear cosplay vibe. Holding the little bunny plushie prop served as the finishing touch, adding interactivity and cuteness to the frame.

Regarding photo selection and retouching, my personal preference is avoiding flashy filters to preserve raw skin texture. Since Anime cosplay makeup is already somewhat heavy, excessive skin smoothing or face slimming in post-processing can erase the character's genuine expression. The key lies in balancing light and shadow—such as brightening areas with insufficient indoor natural light and correcting minor color differences caused by heavy makeup—to ensure the blue eyes and chestnut hair look natural in photos. In organizing this set, rather than chasing flawless glamor, I wanted to share a self-contained, relaxed atmosphere with a touch of personality. Often, cosplay isn't about lavish venues or top-tier props, but whether you feel like that character the moment you put on the outfit.

The photos shared this time were all casual poses taken while resting, without forcing awkward angles. The most comfortable state in cosplay is being able to wear the outfit and naturally move, smile, or zone out like the character in daily life. Looking back at these photos—whether close-ups sitting on the rug, half-body shots holding the small plush toy, or sitting on the floor with legs extended—I feel they captured the exact traits I wanted to express, radiating a unique everyday warmth and agility. Perhaps this is a slight advantage from a female cosplayer's perspective, using personal styling and natural movements to highlight independent charisma on top of accurate character restoration.
