To capture a sense of vibrant energy in convention photos, beyond having the model in high spirits, skillful lighting and timing are decisive. For this Amiya shoot at Firefly Con, the overall tone was lively and dynamic, striving to break away from rigid, static poses.

First, let's talk about today's full outfit. The design of this Amiya costume is rich in layering. The main color scheme is clean, crisp white, paired with a light green plaid apron adorned with a few brightly colored small flower buttons. The edges of the blue and white skirt feature delicate lace and layered ruffles. This lightweight fabric is particularly suitable for action shots. Matching bright green mid-calf socks with black platform shoes creates a youthful, vibrant contrast in colors, preserving character recognition while making the overall look more three-dimensional.

In terms of photography techniques, I had great chemistry with photographer Guanguan today. We intentionally used strong rim lighting and backlighting setups. This lighting technique is especially effective in dark or cluttered environments like conventions, perfectly outlining Amiya's iconic bunny ears, the large blue bow on her head, and the edges of her hair strands to create a glittering rim light effect. The backlit elements instantly give the image a dreamy feel and effectively separate spatial layers from the chaotic convention background.

To convey the core theme of vitality, we designed many non-static moments in our poses. The first pose, standing on one leg and looking back over the shoulder, highlights the leg lines and the fluidity of the costume while allowing the rear rim light to illuminate the ponytail, giving the arc of the hair a dynamic tension when snapped. The second mid-air jump composition required multiple continuous shots to capture the exact moment of suspension; as the body moved, the layered white skirt spread out like clouds, and the light spilling through the skirt's hem created a beautiful translucent effect. The third pose—turning, striding forward, and waving—enhanced interactive engagement with the camera, which, combined with the cross-body blue bag, made the overall vibe feel remarkably relaxed and natural.

Besides big movements, I also place great importance on interacting with props. In the fourth close-up shot, the custom plush doll held in hand perfectly replicates Amiya's bunny ear and bow design. Gently holding up the plush doll in front of the lens with a soft smile conveys a more healing and tender emotion. Being able to quietly record these dynamic, vibrant moments through rhythmic shutter clicks in a noisy convention environment is deeply fulfilling for any Cosplay enthusiast. Though jumping dozens of times continuously was exhausting, fully capturing the character's lively vitality along with her gentle yet resilient strength on the battlefield makes it all worthwhile.
