This set of Lappland the Decadenza photos was taken at an Arknights-only convention venue, organized today as a record for these Convention photos. Because this outfit features a vivid black, white, and red color scheme, I intentionally deepened the reddish blush under my eyes during makeup design. Paired with red contact lenses, my gaze matched the character's cold, detached, and dangerous presence much better. The long silver-gray wig was styled with volume at the crown, with black hairpins on both sides serving as key recognizable details, while the animal ears feature a white front with black tips to faithfully restore the look in this Lappland the Decadenza cosplay.
The centerpiece of the costume is a detail-rich Black and white lace outfit featuring three black roses and a golden star emblem on the chest. The sleeveless cut can easily make arms look bare, so I crisscrossed multiple black ribbons around my arms, adding pearl bracelets and fingerless lace gloves to enhance layering. The multi-layered pearl necklace and skull pendant around the neck also serve as the soul of the entire look.
Shooting at a convention venue posed considerable challenges, primarily due to cluttered backgrounds and shifting lighting. To get great shots for this Anime-style photography, I specifically sought out a clean beige wall as a backdrop. Wearing numerous tied black ribbons meant that larger movements could easily loosen or deform them, requiring constant angle adjustments for every pose. For the shots holding a white rose, biting the rose stem in the first shot tested my posture control; though the stem had a distinct taste, I went through with it to convey the character's untamed, unruly temperament.
I coordinated with the photographer through numerous takes, mainly to capture hand gestures and eye nuances—such as extending my left hand for someone to tie the ribbon, or glancing sideways with subtle melancholy. Post-production focused on softening on-site lighting without exaggerated liquefaction, preserving the lace textures of the outfit and realistic makeup fidelity to highlight the garment's elegance. These Convention photos captured the aloof yet gothic-romantic atmosphere I envisioned. Getting in and out of the full styling was quite tricky—especially tying the back bow and waist corset tightly, which required assistance and restricted mobility—but seeing the finished results made me thoroughly satisfied with the overall outcome.
