[Hu Tao cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Kurumi Tsuchimikado: Diverse Looks from Pink-and-White Robes to Japanese-Style Black Stockings

Regarding this Kurumi Tsuchimikado cosplay shoot, preparation actually took quite a long time. Kurumi's character spans a broad range of temperaments, requiring experimentation from traditional classical Japanese aesthetics to energetic modern styles, so I compiled all seven distinct styles into this collection.

The first set is the shot lifting one leg high in the pink-and-white feathered robe. The garment material is exceptionally lightweight, yet adorned with numerous accessories; the layered feathers and cascading sheer drape looked gorgeous under the studio lights. To evoke an ethereal quality, the photographer set up localized rim lighting. Because we wanted to showcase leg lines, the stance was extremely demanding—holding balance with one leg raised was truly exhausting, but thankfully the final shot captured incredible agility and grace.

Later, the Japanese-style cherry blossom look wielding a sword became a personal favorite; the circular Japanese window behind me and the cherry trees outside were a real practical set. That sword was remarkably heavy, making hands ache after holding it, and striving to maintain a languid seated pose on the tatami while styling over-the-knee white Stockings was a real test of core strength.

The orange outfit and red fluffy look captured at the convention leaned toward a more playful, lively tone. The plush tail behind the orange attire was quite heavy; paired with yellow props, we had to quickly find angles on-site to capture flattering over-the-shoulder glances. The red outfit featured heavy double bun hairpieces, and the plush fleece on the clothes easily gathered dust, yet celebratory lighting combined with golden effects added in post gave it a wonderful festive atmosphere.

I also attempted a traditional indoor seiza kneeling pose in black Stockings. The set was filled with calligraphy and paintings; when posing with the oiled paper umbrella, I had to ensure the waist sash didn't form awkward wrinkles. To match the serene backdrop, facial expressions had to be restrained to convey a sense of dignified grace. The water splash set, in contrast, offered the sharpest divergence: to complement the explosive splash effect, I vigorously kicked water, getting my sailor suit soaked, but the high shutter speed and composited splash effects created a striking visual impact.

Finally, lying on my side under the cherry blossom tree created a very soft, dreamy atmosphere. Throughout the shoot, I discussed technical nuances of composition and lighting extensively with the photographer, such as using foreground cherry blossoms for depth contrast and adjusting camera angles to elongate leg lines. This Cosplay photography experience was immensely enriching; every outfit and scene sought to faithfully portray the character's personality. I hope everyone can feel the heart poured into every single set and the dedication behind this demanding shoot.
