This shoot selected an indoor scene with European vintage furniture. The wooden piano, carved sofa, and walls covered with oil paintings surprisingly matched Sora-chan's outfit of a white shirt and black plaid skirt. The wig features silver-white twintails with highly voluminous hair strands. Paired with black bows, I am personally quite satisfied with the accuracy of this cosplay look. The collar of the shirt has a pointed design, paired with a fine silver chain necklace and a cross pendant; these delicate details bring the overall temperament closer to the character. The combination of black tights and glossy leather shoes also makes the lower body lines look sharper.
A gray rabbit plush was used during the shoot, which became almost the handiest prop around. Whether cradled in my arms or placed beside me, it adds a touch of softness to the frame. What required the most thought this time was the lighting. The natural light in the room was actually on the warmer side, so the photographer used a reflector to add a bit of a cool tone, making the skin look more translucent and white, forming a clean contrast with the hair color. We tried several sets of full-body standing and sitting poses, but the close-up shots turned out to be the most effective because they could capture the details in the gaze and facial expressions—after all, Sora-chan's cool yet slightly lazy demeanor is conveyed more directly through subtle facial expressions than body movements.
The post-processing avoided excessive skin smoothing and retained some skin texture to make it look more real and natural. The overall color tone darkened the background, letting the character pop out from the busy decorations. Every time I do a shoot, I experiment with a new makeup look. This time, the eyeliner is slightly winged, the blush is applied lightly, and the lip color is a matte orange-pink, creating a restrained sweetness against the white shirt and black skirt. In terms of prop coordination, besides the rabbit plush, some dried flowers were used to accent the foreground, adding depth without stealing the scene. The tailoring of the costume this time was a perfect fit; the folds on the cuffs and skirt hem were just right, making it highly photogenic whether spinning around or sitting casually. Although the shooting time wasn't short, the entire process went very smoothly, and the photographer always managed to capture the most natural moments. That quiet, slightly melancholy sense of narrative in the final photos is exactly the state I wanted to convey this time. I hope everyone can feel the character's inherent purity and detachment through this ACG private photoshoot.
