[Cheshire Cosplay] Azur Lane Swimsuit Series: Summer Whispers by the Pool

This photoshoot for Cheshire's swimsuit skin from Azur Lane was completed at an Outdoor swimming pool. The summer sunlight was exceptionally clear, casting natural dappled light across the mosaic tiles and water surface to give the entire set a pure, translucent ambiance.

Starting with hair and makeup details: the wig blends silver-gray with bright cyan-blue highlights, paired with white animal-ear headwear and oversized purple bows on both sides for high recognition. Sunglasses perched on the head not only serve as a signature character accessory, but also help block blinding glare during bright pool shoots. The purple bow choker paired with a royal-blue bikini top—featuring crisscross string ties across the chest and layered with a semi-sheer white tulle cover-up—creates wonderful visual depth. The purple ruffled thigh garter and slender ankle ties keep the styling breezy in the pool setting while staying true to the character's core color palette, beautifully echoed by the purple pleated armbands.

The location choice was clear: a tropical-style Outdoor swimming pool with lush landscaping. During shooting, background palm trees and greenery were blurred into soft bokeh to concentrate visual focus squarely on the subject. The blue mosaic pool tiles formed the foundational color tone, against which the white sheer tulle and deep-blue bikini created balanced, harmonious contrast without clutter.

We explored diverse poses throughout the shoot: sitting on gray-and-white stone pillars in the water, arms outstretched while gently kicking the water surface to capture dynamic water splashes, conveying the character's relaxed playfulness by the water. Seated poses by the pool edge showcased comfortable summer leisure—sitting sideways on the coping with one arm reaching upward or dipping toes into the water to let body curves shine through the semi-sheer tulle. Barefoot posing is a natural element of swimsuit styling, with sandals casually left by the edge to blend into the holiday resort theme.

Outdoor swimsuit photography depends heavily on lighting and angles. With strong midday sunlight, finding soft shade or utilizing water reflections to soften facial contours was essential. Most shots were taken in the shallow end or along the coping to ensure safety and aesthetic composition. Mosaic tiles beneath the crystal-clear water cast an even blue glow, delivering rich natural color without heavy editing.

Toward the latter half, rising outdoor temperatures made the plush ear headpiece somewhat warm, but staying true to the character was worth the persistence. Stepping into the water or resting poolside as summer breezes caught the semi-sheer tulle added dynamic rhythm. Unlike structured uniforms, swimsuits place higher visual demands on collarbones, shoulders, and body fluidity. The relaxed atmosphere made expressions and movements feel effortless.
