[Lynette Cosplay] Two Outfits Experiencing Fontaine's French Flair and Exquisite Makeup

This makeup look is a trial for Lynette, and to restore the aura of Fontaine, I made meticulous adjustments to my brow and eye features. The wide, heavy double eyelids combined with blending around the eye area attempt to create a hint of fuzziness within French laziness, and I also intentionally contoured toward a box nose structure to make the overall facial dimensions tighter. For the brow shape, I didn't draw it too sharply, instead preserving a bit of hair flow to echo the gloss of the blue eyes alongside the faint makeup look.

Since I have quite a few shoot plans for Lynette over the coming month, I decided to spend an afternoon ahead of schedule trying out both commonly worn outfits for their makeup compatibility and on-body effects. The first set is the classic magician vest styling, using a white turn-down collar shirt as a base, layered outside with a black glossy leather waist-cinching vest, topped with a lake-blue decorative collar tie and an antique bronze bow tie. This outfit has many small details, particularly the hardware on the neckline and belt sections, which carry fantastic quality. Paired with the black-and-white patterned gloves and this black top hat with blue-purple stripes, the layered feel of the entire coordinate immediately became enriched. When putting on the cat-ear accessories and looking in the mirror, it truly possessed that refined, playful flavor characteristic of Fontaine characters.

The second set is a relatively lightweight white strapless gauze dress. Compared to the complex vest attire, this outfit places higher demands on body lines, especially the contours of the neck, shoulders, and collarbones. The skirt hem features gradient cyan-blue sheer gauze, which produces a highly weightless fluid movement when walking. The neck is adorned with a black-and-white lace patchwork choker, embellished with a deep green gemstone, looking exceptionally classical in temperament. Although both outfits have different styles, they both beautifully manifest that relaxed yet sophisticated dressing hobby inherent to French style.

The greatest difficulty during this makeup test actually lay in grasping the expression. The character of Lynette is a highly classic 'kuudere/expressionless girl' setting, and that state of laziness, composure, and utter indifference toward surrounding matters forms a huge contrast against my own extroverted personality. The process of attempting to 'pretend to be an introvert' truly made it easy for my expressions to break character—the gaze needs to be spaced out but cannot look completely dead, and the physical movements must be composed enough. I repeatedly adjusted my expression management in front of the lens, trying my best to flatten the curvature of the corners of my mouth and slightly scatter the focus of my eyes, using these subtle神态 differences to get closer to the character's inner self. Though I personally feel I am not proficient enough yet, this process of constantly figuring out the character is actually quite interesting.

The shoot plans for the upcoming month are quite packed. Besides these two outfits, I have also prepared some small props and booked several different scene settings. I hope to capture both the dappled light and shadow under the daytime sunshine and the cyan-blue ambient lights at night, at which time I will make fine adjustments to the makeup based on different lighting environments. Actually, the setting of Genshin Impact's Fontaine characters inherently holds many possibilities. I hope to stay close to the original work in terms of makeup and styling while capturing my own lens language. The coordination between photography and makeup requires continuous alignment; through today's makeup test and trial shoot, I have a better grasp of the general direction for the final photos. I look forward to the ideal effects in the finished output and truly enjoy this creative process of being immersed in character interpretation.
