[Murasame cosplay] Senren＊Banka: Green Hair, Red Eyes, and White Stockings in the Classroom

For this Senren＊Banka Murasame cosplay, what took the most thought was how to recreate that aloof yet slightly stubborn temperament of hers within an everyday classroom setting. Because she is an entity that only a select few can see in the lore, I intentionally minimized dramatic movements in my expressions, relying instead on focused eye contact and subtle body language to convey her presence. To match the original artwork, I wore a light green long straight wig trimmed with blunt bangs and tied blue-and-white striped ribbons on both sides. In terms of makeup, the crimson contact lenses and the red eyeshadow smudged along the lower eyelids were key focal points; under the studio lights, this makeup made my skin look very fair while giving my gaze a striking, soul-piercing clarity. The attire is her classic blue-and-white sailor suit—a dark navy top with a broad white sailor collar, a slender red ribbon tied at the chest, and a grey pleated skirt patterned with stars and geometric motifs, with jagged saw-tooth hems along both the top and skirt edges. To add visual depth, I paired the lower half with knee-high white stockings and glossy black platform loafers.

On the day of the shoot, we set up a simple classroom desk and chair inside a white studio. These poses were genuinely demanding on physical stamina and core strength. While sitting on the desk with legs crossed, I had to keep my spine completely straight the entire time so the top's crisp tailoring wouldn't collapse, all while holding my hands in a delicate, slightly curved gesture mid-air. For the shots where I leaned over the desk to capture that sense of bored, languid observation, I tested several angles resting my chin on my arms while making sure the wig didn't get tangled against my clothes. The kneeling pose reaching forward on the floor was especially prone to losing balance without support; photographer @Govcz小法师XiYi continually helped adjust camera angles and light-to-shadow ratios, aiming to let the pure white backdrop emphasize the subject's solitude even further.

The ambient audio in the studio was remarkably quiet, with all of us waiting for the click of the shutter. Putting on this outfit and sitting among familiar desks and chairs created a wonderful, surreal illusion. The friction of the white stockings and leather shoes against the wooden floor momentarily pulled me away from reality. I had no intention of forcing a tragic narrative; rather, I wanted to fully convey that quiet independence forged through long years of companionship purely through static visuals. Though the finished frames look calm and serene, the character's storyline was constantly playing through my mind during the shoot. I hope this classroom-themed set allows everyone to feel the innate charm of the character. The entire shoot went smoothly, the play of light and shadow achieved everything I envisioned, and every single detail in the frame was refined together with the photographer, delivering an atmospheric result that I am thoroughly satisfied with.
