[Klee Cosplay] Capturing Fairy Tale Style on a Flower Sea Windowsill, Red and White Dress Paired with White stockings

Shooting this red-and-white color-blocked dress was a very special experience for me. The overall costume structure was more complex than expected; from the black-spliced large collar and red bow at the neckline to the wide red waist belt and two black belt buckles at the waist, every detail required careful sorting to present the most perfect state in front of the lens. The wig styling also took a long time to adjust. To match the character's playful vibe, the golden short hair was deliberately styled with a fluffy arc, paired with a red pointy wide-brimmed hat and black short gloves, instantly enhancing the overall visual impact and bringing me closer to Klee's fairy-tale-like playfulness. The outdoor photoshoot location was chosen to be a lushly arranged greenhouse. A large amount of yellow, pink, purple, and white flowers and green plants clung to the wooden window frame in the foreground, forming a natural framing. The background was an unblocked blue sky with white clouds and distant green trees, with sunlight filtering through leaves and flower clusters, creating gorgeous light and shadow. To match this scene, I tried sitting on the wooden windowsill, gently holding the brim of the hat with both hands and leaning my body slightly forward. This posture not only showcased the white floral embroidery on the skirt hem but also nicely exposed the leg lines. The red-and-white spliced edge of the skirt hem was adorned with red pleated ruffles, forming a strong color contrast with the white over-the-knee long stockings on my legs. The patterns on the socks faintly showed under backlight, making this combination look exceptionally harmonious on camera. While shooting the official photos, I also collaborated with an illustrator to create a flat-style fan art based on this photoshoot. The illustration extracted the character's posture and costume silhouette from the photos, stripped away tedious details, retained the red-and-white-dominated color structure, pieced the background together with green color blocks and simplified flowers, and added the phrase "She wears the scent of flowers and the both of wind". Seeing the photos and the illustration placed side by side gave a wonderful feeling of transcending dimensions. Regarding how to create the fairy tale style in the photos, I believe the color matching of the costumes and the selection of the scene are crucial. The red and white colors inherently carry a classic fairy tale atmosphere, while flower bushes and sunshine act as natural atmosphere catalysts. During the shoot, I didn't deliberately make exaggerated expressions or actions; instead, I tried to stay as relaxed as possible, maintaining a quiet and natural state. When the wind blew, plant leaves and flowers swayed slightly, which, paired with the distant view of blue skies and white clouds, naturally exuded that cheerful and healing sense belonging to fairy tales. During post-processing, I also deliberately preserved the warm tones of the sunlight, slightly increasing the overall image contrast to make the red and white clothes look more three-dimensional in the light. This shoot went very smoothly overall. Because we communicated fully on costume matching and venue selection beforehand, we hardly needed much adjustment on-site to get into the zone. For this kind of fresh and cute dress setup, the focus is actually not on complex props or special effects, but on using the most natural light and real scenes to restore that pure visual experience. I hope that when everyone looks at this set of photos, they can also feel this sunny fairy tale vibe.
