This photoshoot took place on October 25 at the Jiangnan University club festival, featuring the Arknights Amiya cosplay from the Ambience Synesthesia series. Preparing this outfit took a long time; to faithfully recreate the look, careful considerations went into wig styling, colored contacts selection, and dress fabric textures. The primary color scheme is white and light blue, with the outer garment made of semi-sheer tulle featuring delicate lace patterns; the hemline's outer edge produces dynamic ripple-like motion when walking. The garment's cut is intricate, especially the layered white design around the waist, requiring considerable time to adjust the fit to achieve an upright silhouette. The soft daytime light for the Convention photo shots was ideal for revealing the authentic texture of the outfit, so we chose a sports track and an open terrace to shoot against distant trees and hills. During the shoot, Mu Bai helped scout many angles to avoid background crowds as much as possible. As dusk fell, we transitioned to night shooting, using flash to darken the background and highlight the subject. Particularly when the wind picked up, the moment the skirt billowed was full of dynamic motion, and the bright blue crystal atop the staff produced stunning reflective highlights under the lights. The main challenge of this look lay in wearing it: the bunny ear headpiece carried some weight, and the staff was very long, requiring constant attention when moving through crowds to avoid bumping into others. The atmosphere at the club fair was buzzing with energy, with many students pursuing what they love, which felt wonderfully invigorating. The nighttime photos carry even more atmosphere, where strong light hitting the outfit brought out the translucent sheen of the blue tulle. Because of the high-low skirt cut, the leg garter decoration was easily captured on camera, serving as a signature recognizable feature of this design. Although a bit tired on the day of the shoot, I remained in high spirits throughout. The pairing of shoes and leg garters matched the overall palette, and the gloves were made of semi-sheer lace, requiring delicate care when holding props. Before every shoot, I always check all accessories in advance—like the blue gems on the skirt and the crystal parts on the staff—since these fine details directly determine the refinement of the final image. Being able to join such a vibrant event at a university and create beloved works together is truly meaningful. The weather at Jiangnan University was pleasant that day without rain, perfectly preserving both the gentle mood under daytime natural light and the cool allure under nighttime flash. This photoshoot gave me deeper insights into shooting and managing this type of costume styling, and I look forward to refining my skills further to bring more great works.
