Choosing Sora's qipao style this time was actually about challenging a different style from her casual daily wear, blending anime-style coldness with modified Chinese-style elements. The dress itself features a white base with blue-and-white porcelain black edging, paired with a unique hollowed-out frog button design at the chest, creating classical charm without losing playfulness. The lower half is paired with classic white over-the-knee stockings and black platform loafers; this minimal black-and-white contrast renders extremely photogenic results for Anime-style photography.

For makeup, to fit Sora's concept, the base makeup was kept clean and translucent. Eye makeup was kept cool-toned, reducing vibrant colors, while the lip color was a sheer aquatic red, leaving a natural yet healthy glow. The wig underwent two trims to better contour my face and keep smooth lines for the twin tails and bangs. Complex bow decorations tied with black ribbon and satin on both sides of the crown are the soul of this look; although fixing them took time, the resulting fluffiness was ideal for Cosplay daily life.

This shoot utilized a @Zhiyun stabilizer paired with a @Viltrox lens. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast autofocus speed and crisp image sharpness, capturing intricate dark woven patterns on the outfit clearly. @Tilta gear provided great support for fill lighting, ensuring soft facial shadows without harsh contrast. Thanks also to @VSGO cleaning equipment—shooting white clothing against light backdrops gets dirty easily, and on-demand cleaning of lenses and props kept the entire process clean and sleek.

The setting was chosen before a pure blue-gray seamless backdrop, paired with white cylindrical props. Actually, simpler environments test body language more. To keep frames from feeling dull, I did plenty of homework on posing. The standing pose flipping my hair intended to showcase a light, dynamic momentum; sitting and crouching poses focused more on showcasing the hemline details and leg silhouettes. The half-crouch composition framed me at the visual center while perfectly displaying the length of the white stockings and leg curves—sexy without feeling overly forced.

Regarding lighting, we used large-area soft lights, stripping away hard lights and harsh shadows so skin appears fairer and more translucent. Paired with pure white stockings, the overall palette is exceedingly bright and clean. The line "In the distant sky, at the edge of the firmament" inherently carries an ethereal purity, harmonizing with the quiet mood of these photos.

In truth, shooting in non-stretch qipao puts high demands on upper-body posture and breath control; to maintain a tailored silhouette, even sitting poses require naturally engaging core muscles. Before shooting, I worried a solid backdrop might feel monotonous, but later realized that as long as emotion is poured into eyes and posture, the backdrop becomes the best canvas. During this shoot, I felt completely immersed in the character, setting aside distractions to focus on camera expression.

For post-processing, I preserved the natural light, shadow, and color of the original shots as much as possible without heavy edits, focusing effort on fine-tuning body shape and skin texture for a clear, natural output. Breaking out of my comfort zone to try a Qipao with white stockings look for Sora—all the focus and heart poured into the process lives right here in this set.
