【Misaki cosplay】Blue Archive Cheongsam Outfit, Vintage Suitcase and Blue-Haired Girl - Image 1

When changing into this blue cheongsam Cosplay outfit and twin-bun wig, I was actually a bit anxious because the temperament of the character Misaki is very special, possessing both Eastern elegance and a touch of casual laziness. However, when I put on the dark blue sleeveless top, with the gold-thread embroidered dragon patterns gleaming under the light, and then draped that blue-and-white striped jacket over, the feeling came instantly. To restore that casual yet sleek state, I intentionally wore only one glove, let the jacket half-slip off my shoulder, leaned back into the wooden armchair, crossed my legs, and pointed forward with my right hand. This movement perfectly showcases both the drape of the jacket and the texture of the stockings.

The shoot this time was chosen at Kasumi Studio. The clean gray-white backdrop is very simple, requiring no complex setting, purely relying on the colors of the clothes and the character's body language to support the frame. A brown vintage suitcase was placed by my feet, and a pair of black patent leather high heels sat below it; the feeling of being barefoot in black stockings actually fits the original setting's unconventional personality better. The photographer's snapshot angles were excellent, preserving all the details of the long blue hair and hair buns, and the luster of the hair strands looked very natural under the overhead light. In fact, the most interesting part of shooting cosplay is this process of "recreation through restoration." Although the costume itself is already detailed enough, whether one can act out that character's "little temper" in front of the lens depends entirely on one's personal state.

This time, I didn't intentionally pose in exaggerated movements; I just sat on the chair, letting my body relax completely, with a gaze carrying a bit of certainty and scrutiny. The blue hair color is highly vibrant against the solid background, forming a great visual focus. The entire match features both the slim-fit tailoring of a Chinese cheongsam and the mix-and-match feel of modern outfits. Especially the sleeve of that striped jacket, casually resting on the armrest, actually has more flavor than wearing it properly. I feel the greatest charm of cosplay lies in the fact that you can instantly enter the logic of another world through a piece of clothing and a hairstyle. Even just sitting there quietly with a suitcase at your feet can make people imagine a story about travel or departure.

My state on the day of the shoot was quite good. The photographer's lighting was very soft with no harsh shadows, making the skin texture appear very translucent. The wig was also combed smoothly, and the twin buns on both sides were intentionally given a bit of fluffiness to look more lively. In terms of props, the texture of that vintage suitcase was perfectly on point, and paired with the black patent leather shoes, the overall color scheme was unified among blue, white, black, and brown, making it visually very comfortable. In fact, most of the time, cosplay works don't need too many flashy backgrounds; a right outfit plus a bit of expression can convey the character's spirit. I hope this small attempt can let everyone feel Misaki's confident and charming aura, serving as my tribute to the world of Blue Archive.
