We chose a Sea of Chinese milk vetch flowers as the primary background for this shoot, mainly considering how the low-lying pink-purple flower patches create warm-cool and light-dark contrasts with the blue-and-white sailor uniform. To recreate Oguri Cap's serene and somewhat distant aura, we focused heavily on styling the silver hair wig. The animal ears on top and the blue-and-yellow striped headband required repeated angle adjustments to maintain a sharp contour even when half-concealed among the blooms.

During the shoot, we mainly used natural light combined with backlighting. To prevent the White stockings and white skirt hem from losing detail under strong light, the aperture was stopped down to around f/2.8, rendering the flower sea into soft bokeh in the background. In the seated pose of photo 2, the photographer shot from a high angle. To accentuate the leg lines and texture of the White stockings, both legs had to remain fully stretched and straight, utilizing a slight ankle bend to enhance three-dimensionality. This angle placed high demands on core strength, especially while lightly holding down the skirt hem to keep it in place.

The side-seated pose in photo 1 emphasizes capturing Oguri Cap's gaze. Sitting sideways with one leg bent not only flatters leg lines but also adds visual extension through the transition from thigh to calf. The downward glance toward the lens was practiced repeatedly; to catch the sheen of the amber contact lenses, my face had to turn slightly toward the light source.

The standing pose in photo 3 explores overall spatial awareness. If not handled carefully, naturally opening the arms can appear stiff, so I had to imagine myself immersing in the gentle breeze over the flower sea. For a full-body standing photo, an even transition of light is crucial, directly determining the harmony between subject and background.

Regarding post-processing, the focus was on natural environmental color restoration. Balancing the pink-purple of the Chinese milk vetch, the greyish-blue of the sky, and the pure white of the uniform was essential. For the White stockings, softening adjustments were applied to eliminate ambient color casts and retain a clean, smooth texture. In the flower field, dry branches and soil were inevitable, so I periodically checked my soles and socks for debris and applied insect repellent spray to avoid bug bites.

This outdoor shoot gave me a deeper appreciation of Oguri Cap's exterior and interior persona. She appears quiet, yet her eyes radiate unique determination. Conveying this trait through this uniform and the flower field was challenging, requiring an organic synergy of movement, expression, and environment. Sharing this work and shooting experience, I hope to visually deliver an aesthetic true to the character's spirit.
