[Roxy Cosplay] Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Roxy Cosplay: School Swimsuit and White Stockings Everyday in the Classroom

Sitting at a desk in this Roxy school swimsuit outfit for this photoshoot really created a wonderful mood. A classroom setting naturally fits this costume so well, and the remaining geometric math formulas written on the chalkboard added a delightful touch of everyday realism.

Let me start by sharing the key elements of this Anime cosplay. The wig has a light blue gradient, and that iconic ahoge on top was styled with great 3D definition, staying perfectly still all day thanks to proper setting spray. To make the two thick braids look natural, I divided the hair into many strands before braiding, and slightly trimmed the front bangs so they wouldn't poke my eyes—making my features look much softer with color contact lenses on.

Regarding the outfit, this deep navy thin-strap one-piece swimsuit cosplay served as the foundation of the look. The shoulder straps and tailoring fit my body snugly, while the loose taupe cardigan worn over it nicely covered my arms, giving my upper body a more relaxed and natural feel. For the bottom half, I chose over-the-knee stockings with wide white anti-slip cuffs sitting right at mid-thigh, visually lengthening leg proportions and highlighting lines when seated. The black cat-face Clogs on my feet were a happy surprise; while they might seem out of place in formal styling, they felt adorably playful in this lazy school-style look.

I tried several different sitting poses during the shoot. The first few were done at wooden school desks and chairs, making it easy to relax without forcing poses—like pulling my braids outward with both hands or making simple peace signs. The shots where I rested my chin in my hands captured the most relaxed eyes and facial muscles, producing very natural expressions. Lastly, I added a standing shot turning back slightly, which nicely showcased the side curves of the one-piece swimsuit and the snug wrap of the over-the-knee socks, with the subtle sheen of the white socks rendering beautifully under side lighting.

Doing Classroom photography posed quite a challenge for lighting. Classroom ceilings typically feature cool white light, which can cast harsh shadows under the eyes if standing straight up. So I spent most of my time seated, allowing light to fall from above at an angle, creating a soft-focus effect on my face with clear, translucent skin texture. During post-processing, I kept edits light without excessive skin smoothing, focusing mainly on preserving the wig's light, airy color and the costume fabric's matte texture.

As a character, Roxy possesses an intellectual yet shy gap-moe charm; even though she is a teacher, her occasional quirky gestures make her irresistibly cute. I tried to capture this exact subtlety in my expressions—keeping my gaze calm yet curious with slightly more hand gestures, as a gentle smile suited the everyday campus atmosphere far better than a purely serious face.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with how the full look turned out. I initially worried if the long, thick braids would look overly cumbersome, but once braided, laying them across the desk or letting them drape naturally by my side looked great on camera. Spending an afternoon in the classroom in this outfit, the layering between the one-piece swimsuit and loose cardigan combined with white socks and cat shoes gave off vibrant energy, making this one of my most satisfying recent photosets.
