Today's outdoor photoshoot was truly a pleasant surprise. Looking at the overcast sky initially had me worried about poor lighting, fearing the images would look too gray and lack depth. But once on location with the first few shutter clicks, we realized this dim, cool-toned environment was unexpectedly fitting. Without harsh, direct sunlight, the diffused and gentle illumination allowed the frame to focus more clearly on the character's gaze and fabric textures, blending into a wonderfully cohesive atmosphere.

Portraying Firefly from Honkai: Star Rail this time required quite a meticulous pre-shoot routine. For the wig, I went with long, wavy silver-white hair, patiently using a flat iron to guide the hair flow so the ends kept a natural curve. The black rectangular clip on the forehead, along with the deep blue ribbon and leaf accent on the left, are crucial signature elements of the character—any minor misalignment would feel off. For makeup, matching the cool, quiet mood of the overcast day meant centering attention on the eyes: wearing gray-blue contacts with a faint reddish wash around the lids to boost anime-like translucency, while keeping the lip color understated and natural.

The costume's detailing was another key focus of the shoot. A white ruffled blouse layered beneath a black vest, with gold trims along the collar and edges looking exceptionally textured under natural light. The teal-and-gold metallic ornament on the chest and the diagonal orange sash added rich dimensional depth. The teal straps on the outfit particularly demanded repeated adjustments for tension, as their placement directly dictated the visual contour of the waistline. Although wearing multiple layers felt a bit warm, standing tall instantly brought the right presence.

The prop sword in my hands was definitely the soul of the entire set. Featuring a teal-green blade with silver metallic handguards, its silhouette is dramatically stylized. Despite carrying noticeable weight, lifting it to strike a pose naturally brought forth an aura of battle readiness. I tried holding it diagonally across my chest or raising it overhead with both hands; varied grips coupled with the dynamic flow of the attire kept the shots lively and engaging. Given the dimmer sky, we specifically adjusted the camera's ISO and aperture to maintain ample exposure on the face while preserving the austere, clean lines of the architecture behind. The occasional passing breeze that lifted the wig and skirt hem added an authentic touch of captured motion.

Overall, though the lighting conditions were far from textbook perfection, the fortuitous atmosphere delivered a wonderful surprise. From garment textures and prop fidelity to makeup details and the cool backdrop, all the elements converged into a thoroughly satisfying creative experience.
