The goal for this rooftop location shoot was crystal clear: to faithfully restore this swimsuit-style look. When I received the wig, the silver-white long hair and highly recognizable colorful flower hair accessories immediately laid down the character's foundation. To stay true to original lore settings, the costume featured a midriff-baring ruffle tube top, paired with detached long arm sleeves and a pink striped skirt, with the white wings on the back serving as the ultimate finishing touch.
We chose a rooftop location during the afternoon; the sunlight was abundant but somewhat harsh, so we leveraged building shadows and reflections to soften light and shadows. Afternoon sunbeams spilling across white feathers and hair strands created natural rim lighting, yielding fantastic Cosplay photos. Water puddles on the ground were originally an accident, but during shooting we realized they reflected clouds in the sky perfectly, adding spatial depth to this two-dimensional composition.
For makeup and hair, earth-tone eyeshadow with subtle shimmer combined with light-colored contacts gave the gaze an ethereal yet stubborn look—this subtle facial expression conveys character traits far better than dramatic poses. The floral ribbon strap on the hat required multiple positioning adjustments to achieve visual symmetry, while the necklace color palette aimed to recreate a delicate, fresh feel. The shoot was quite physically demanding; although gear felt lightweight, staying outdoors for long periods felt stuffy and warm, especially with the heavy silver-white wig that required constant adjustment and refastening between takes.
For petite characters like her, cleverly utilizing rooftop walls as support points while shooting from a slightly low angle highlights the fluffiness of the skirt and flowing long hair, while beautifully accentuating leg lines. This fresh color palette against white floor tiles meant post-processing required only minor color temperature and contrast tweaks to preserve a breezy, sky-and-water freshness. Since the outfit features abundant ruffles and lace frills, handling and wearing it demanded extra care to maintain three-dimensional silhouette structures.
Experimenting with different camera angles, I tried standing, leaning against walls, and slight side-profile poses, ultimately settling on the finger-to-lips pose shown here, blending cuteness with a touch of mystery. Avoiding overly complex background props, relying solely on simple rooftop railings, blue sky, and ground puddles kept focus sharply centered on the character herself. The most enchanting aspect of this attire is how its airy lightness harmonizes with the character's inherent quiet demeanor; I hope this straightforward shoot successfully conveys that serene atmosphere.
