[Celestia cosplay] Strinova Celestia CICF Expo convention photos, black-and-white maid style under purple light

When I tried on this Celestia outfit before the convention, I knew its expressiveness in low-light environments would be very strong. The lighting at the CICF Expo site was quite complex, so we specifically chose a corridor area with floor-to-ceiling windows and metal railings. The purple ambient light on-site hitting the ground and glass formed a strong visual contrast with this black-and-white colored dress, perfectly fitting Strinova's futuristic temperament.

The wig and makeup took quite a while to adjust. On Celestia's forehead is a silver metal accessory with a blue gemstone; to make it fit the skull closely and avoid reflection, I used hairspray to fix the stray hairs along the edges tightly. The eye makeup used a bit of purplish-red blending, paired with light-colored contact lenses, making the gaze look more translucent under strong light. The skirt is black-and-white spliced, with golden chains and silver cross straps on the chest, and the skirt hem features multi-layered ruffles. To maintain the fluffiness of the skirt hem when walking and squatting, I wore a small everyday petticoat inside; the combination of the transparent straps outside and white long gloves made the upper body lines look cleaner.

The shooting process actually tested physical strength quite a bit. The posture of sitting on that black suitcase required tightening the core to keep the leg lines stretched; the heels of the high heels were very high, and the insteps needed to be tensed so that the lines of the black stockings and calves connected into a smooth curve. Later, it changed to a squatting pose with hands crossed or one hand raised, making the strap details on the black stockings particularly prominent in close-ups. When standing up and lifting the skirt hem, the amplitude of the arms had to be controlled to ensure the golden star patterns and lace pleats on the skirt were fully expanded. The photographer's candid shots were amazing, not only capturing the cool-toned natural light outside the glass window but also blending in the purple light source of the venue, giving the photos a cyberpunk-meets-lolita texture.

To facilitate storage and transition, I brought a black rolling suitcase, which happened to serve as a shooting prop. Walking around the convention all day in black stockings paired with glossy platform high heels is actually quite tiring, but in front of the lens, the extension of leg lines and the overall unity of black tones are truly worth it. The fabric of the clothing is quite stiff in some places, like the black high-collar part of the neckline, preventing deformation during movement. There is a cut-out section between the white puff sleeves at the cuffs and the long gloves, which is also one of the details. The overall outfit logic is tight on top and loose on the bottom, with a cinched waist treatment, matched with gold chain embellishments, making the proportions look better.

The ambient sound at the convention site was very noisy, but the corner where we took photos was relatively quiet, and the lighting was concentrated enough, allowing me to quickly enter the character's state. Celestia's movements and demeanor tend to be calm, so when posing, I tried to maintain a direct gaze and restrained expression, avoiding too many exaggerated smiles, instead conveying the character's setting through limb extension and hand-movement portrayal. Looking at the final photos where a corner of the black-and-white skirt hem was blown up by the wind and purple light soaked into the white wig, this set of pictures achieved the cool and exquisite visual effect I expected.
