[Lala Sian cosplay] Blue Archive CICF Convention Photos, Full-Energy Cheerleader on the Crosswalk

The convention photos from the 2026 CICF have been organized and released. To cosplay Lala Sian from Blue Archive well, I put a lot of thought into the early preparation. This cheerleader performance outfit looks simple, but there are actually quite a few details. The blue-and-white color scheme of the outfit is very refreshing, and the material was chosen to be breathable and elastic since I had to run around between the convention and outdoor street shooting; if it were too stuffy or restricted movement, it would greatly affect the shooting state. The halo prop on top of my head was a headache this time. To maintain the floating visual effect from different angles, I tried several lightweight materials and fixing methods, finally securing it to the wig through a thin carbon fiber rod and special invisible clips, and I had to be extra careful during shooting to avoid reflections revealing the trick. Also, that black-and-white striped tail was pieced together by finding special accessories; the curve of the tail when walking just adds a bit of liveliness. The shooting location was chosen as a street section with a crosswalk, and the lighting on that day was fantastic. The sunlight hitting the yellow-and-white pom-poms and orange roadblocks maxed out the color saturation directly. When interacting with the megaphone and volleyball, I felt like I was really at the edge of the sports field. Photographer Ba Cifangeng gave a lot of suggestions on composition, such as the kneeling-on-one-knee pose with the megaphone, lowering the lens slightly to make the frame's sense of depth stronger; or lifting one leg and raising the pom-poms high to show the energy and tension a cheerleader should have. In terms of makeup, to recreate the character's anime-style eyes, I specially wore blue-green contact lenses and made some adjustments to the eye makeup to increase the innocent and manga feel. The wig was also trimmed for a long time to maintain the black layering and anti-frizz treatment, after all, I had to be outside under the sun shooting for a day. While wandering around the CICF venue in this outfit, because the clothes are relatively cool and combined with the tail and halo, the turning rate was quite high. I met many friends who also like this work to take group photos, and the atmosphere of discussing the plot and character settings was particularly great. Although my feet were a bit sore from walking all day in platform sneakers, seeing the texture of light, shadow, and colors in the final photos made all the prior preparation and day's hustle and worth it. The expressiveness of this blue-and-white checkered cheerleader outfit under natural light is indeed good, especially that state of just coming out of the convention, still carrying a tiny bit of fatigue but eager to show energy, was captured wonderfully by the lens.
