This Qingque cosplay leans overall toward a lively, adorable style. For makeup, the primary focus was on the eyes. I selected a pair of green contact lenses to replicate the character's clear eye color, paired with elongated false eyelashes and reddish-brown eyeshadow blending to make the eyes appear large and luminous. For the base makeup, I chose a fair shade, focusing on blending blush beneath the eyes and across the cheeks to simulate a natural flush. For lips, a highly saturated crimson lip glaze was chosen, with highlighting along the Cupid's bow to give the lips a plump, dewy look.

As for wig styling, to ensure volume at the crown and an airy feel to the bangs, I first crimped the roots with a crimping iron to boost volume, carefully trimmed the curve of the fringe, and finally locked the shape with styling spray. The braids on both sides of the hair also took considerable effort, secured discreetly with slender black bobby pins to maintain their shape.

Regarding the costume, this outfit is packed with details. The black turtleneck base paired with contrasting red-and-black shoulder straps and cyan-green long detached sleeves creates a vivid color contrast that suits the character's energetic persona. I carefully adjusted the patterns and metallic buckles on the sleeves to ensure they sat in the proper position when worn. The golden flower buckle on the red shoulder strap is another favorite design element of mine, preventing the overall styling from looking flat.

During the photoshoot, to convey the character's relaxed and lively demeanor, I experimented with different compositions—such as resting my chin in my hands or picking up the little white bird toy beside me. That little bird prop worked as a wonderful accent for this look, adding playful whimsy to the frames. To achieve the best visual effect, we paid close attention to the direction of light, relying mainly on soft diffused light across the face to eliminate harsh shadows. This gave the skin texture a much more delicate finish, closely capturing that agile yet slightly lazy vibe she has in the game. After wrapping up, I selected these two photos as highlights: the first shot holding the little bird has a more centered composition and lively eye expression, making it ideal for the cover.

Interpreting this character through sweet girl makeup embodies a classic anime/2D-style cosplay approach. During post-production retouching, the main focus was smoothing facial contours and sharpening facial features to match the delicate precision of 2D aesthetics—a process requiring considerable patience. Truly, embodying a character each time is a fresh journey: delving into their personality quirks and striving to bring the persona players love to life through makeup, expressions, and gestures. The transition between indoor and outdoor settings went smoothly, with the overarching aim of presenting Qingque's casual, witty, and adorable spirit.

The shooting environment this time was quite simple, consisting primarily of a window and a black backdrop. We used natural light supplemented with a reflector board for fill light, incorporating the grid lines of the window into the background to add visual depth. Material choices for the outfit were also well considered: the black section utilized slightly elastic, breathable fabric for comfort, while the cyan-green detached sleeves were made of ribbed stretch knit, hugging the arms smoothly without looking bulky.

In truth, cosplaying every new character demands extensive preparation—from studying character design sheets and personality lore to testing makeup and fitting costumes. To quickly slip into character, I deliberately practiced micro-expressions in front of a mirror beforehand, like subtle pouting and head tilts. Because she is such an upbeat and breezy character, my mood naturally became joyful throughout the shoot. When recreating a character, staying comfortable in your own skin is essential so their original charm can shine through authentically. Continuously exploring a character's persona is precisely where the magic of cosplay lies, and I hope this presentation conveys my sincere dedication to the character.
