[Sunohara Shun Cosplay] Crystal Clear Reproduction in a Summer Stream, Blue Archive Swimsuit Form

To restore this summer swimsuit style of Sunohara Shun from Blue Archive, the shooting location was chosen by the stream and waterfall of the Danfeng Corridor Bridge. Lately, the weather has been so hot that it makes people sweat, but fortunately, the shooting location has mountains and water. The moment my feet stepped into the stream water, a chill instantly rushed from the soles of my feet to the top of my head, and my whole body felt much more refreshed. Although wearing a short-sleeved and short-pants style swimsuit, standing for a long time under direct sunlight was still a bit difficult to endure; it can only be said that outdoor cosplay has its gains and losses, and for the sake of outputting excellent photos, this bit of hardship is completely worth it.

Regarding the makeup and styling this time, I chose a black twin-tail wig, coordinating with the cat ears at the top as well as a purple crystal-like crown, and also paired it with tiny red hair decorations. Because the mountain breeze would blow over from time to time during the shoot, combined with the fact that I needed to bend over, squat down, or sit on large rocks, to prevent the headpieces from loosening easily, I carried some mini pins and setting spray with me to ensure that both the wig and accessories could maintain their ideal positions during the shoot. In terms of clothing, this light green swimsuit outfit with white polka dots features a relatively casual design, with drawstrings at the pant legs, and two conspicuous cherry decorations at the neckline of the top. The overall look appears both playful and fresh, highly coordinated with the background of the stream and green plants.

This time, lotus leaves and watermelons were specially prepared as scene props. The large lotus leaves are actually very heavy and require an appropriate support point to be fixed, presenting a naturally extended state. The cut watermelon was placed half on the rock by my leg, and the other half was held in my hand; this color clash of red, green, and white is exceptionally conspicuous under the outdoor natural light, yielding excellent color contrast. There was also an orange spherical plush toy, which I placed on the rock beside me, letting it accompany the frame like a little partner, adding quite a bit of childish fun and life aura.

During the shooting process, communication with the photographer was very close, primarily looking for angles that could naturally blend into the environment and display the characteristics of the swimsuit style. For example, sitting on a rock by the stream, extending legs straight out, leaning the body slightly forward, facing the camera while handing the watermelon in hand toward the front of the screen. This posture requires grasping the extension amplitude of the hand and facial expressions well, needing both to appear casual and natural and to avoid any artificial stiffness. There was also a way of sitting sideways, letting the water splash beside me. Because the stream's flow rate was fast, combined with the fact that water splashes would wet the rock surface, the ground was actually somewhat wet and slippery, so when adjusting movements, I had to be very careful to find footing to prevent slipping.

Capturing snapshots in an environment with flying water splashes requires precision for every single shutter press. To capture the dynamic feel of the splashing water while ensuring the clarity of the figure's face and costume, the photographer put a lot of thought into the timing of the snapshots. Although the wig would often get wet by tiny water droplets or water drops would get on my face during the shoot, it is precisely this real outdoor touch that endowed the final presented photos with a layer of unique atmosphere; this agile natural light effect cannot be simulated in indoor studio shoots.

Besides character movements, the utilization of ambient light was also very important. The shimmering light reflected from the stream water would form some natural fill light, making the texture hitting the skin very soft, basically requiring no excessive post-processing to display an excellent skin state. Furthermore, choosing light green and white clothes, coordinating with the deep green background and transparent water flow, made the main color tone of the frame very unified, avoiding any cluttered look.

Overall, the stream, waterfall, lotus leaves, watermelon, and this swimsuit outfit indeed formed an excellent match. The hardship of outdoor shooting dissipated after the final photos came out. Although the rocks and running water at the shoot location increased quite a bit of physical consumption, this atmosphere full of vitality and coolness was precisely my original intention when choosing this site for the summer stream trekking shoot.
