[Phoebe Cosplay] Mirroring Official Art Poses: Recreating Elegant Moments from Wuthering Waves

Following the official art poses, this time I set out to recreate Phoebe's classic look. The stance in the official artwork has very distinct traits—it is not an exaggerated action, but rather embodies an airy, effortless relaxation. During the shoot, I adjusted my center of gravity multiple times to capture this pose accurately: supporting my entire body weight on the right foot, keeping the left leg naturally relaxed, and tilting the upper body slightly to the left. This required core engagement in the abdomen for stability while ensuring the height and angle of the staff in my right hand matched the official art, with a natural wrist angle to avoid stiffness. The gesture of raising my left hand to lightly touch the brim of the hat also captured the character's signature confidence perfectly.

This costume features a highly recognizable blue, white, and black color scheme. The prominent white mini-dress is paired with a vibrant blue crossbody sash, where the golden starbursts and line textures serve as brilliant finishing touches. The bottom of the sash features white tassels and blue droplet-shaped accents, enhancing dynamic vertical flow. The combination of white and black gloves, along with the black neck guard design at the collar, works wonderfully to define the character's silhouette. The prop staff boasts high fidelity; the golden winged design on the staff head is exquisitely plated, possessing both satisfying heft and a delicate luster under studio lighting. To capture the flowing, breezy feel of the official artwork, we utilized wind machines in the studio to make the blue capelet flutter backward naturally, while carefully regulating the wind speed so as not to disturb the bangs—a process requiring seamless chemistry with the assistant and photographer.

Speaking of styling, I chose white pantyhose to pair with this white dress. Although the official illustration showcases white boots, opting for White stockings and bare feet for this summer shoot delivered a crisp, refreshing vibe and an alternative visual charm, whose light, clean palette harmonized beautifully with the character's overall aesthetic. The coat is rich in detail: the subtle jacquard patterns on the fabric, the small cross ornament on the black collar, and the delicate layering around the waist all require precise positioning to look their best. Meanwhile, the wide-brimmed white hat accented with a blue ribbon on one side elegantly brought out this bright, graceful aura.

The shooting process itself was an ongoing journey of character Roleplay and refinement. Phoebe doesn't feel like a frail, delicate mage, but rather an assertive female character with her own distinct convictions and inner strength. Therefore, in terms of expression control, beyond showing a gentle smile, my gaze needed to convey a calm and focused presence. The entire photoshoot was immensely enjoyable; seeing the staff, wig, costume, and accessories come together to recreate the character on myself brought a genuine sense of accomplishment. Without needing overly elaborate words, the purest joy lies in seeing the original concept art materialized in reality, delivering that unique composure to everyone who loves this character. Although dressing up and adjusting the styling took nearly two hours, having the final photos vividly freeze the expressions and composition from the official art is the greatest satisfaction for a cosplayer. This shoot captured the true essence of the design, and every cosplay of such an exquisite character serves as valuable creative experience.
