The styling details of Natsume Iroha are the focus of this Blue Archive shooting. To precisely restore this character, I spent a lot of energy on restoring the costume texture. Natsume Iroha's highly recognizable uniform, especially the red and black contrasting design and the embellishment of golden sequins, has very delicate changes under the light and shadow of different angles. Paired with the iconic red hair and a crisp top hat, the whole set of styling was deeply considered in terms of Character accuracy, striving to present the solemnity the character should have in the lens.
To create a screen with more atmosphere, I chose such an indoor scene full of life. The scattered books on the bookshelf and the fluffy dolls added many warm details to the screen, as if telling the character's real state in the calm daily life. The use of light and shadow is the core of this shooting. The natural light in the afternoon passes through the curtains and hits the uniform and hair softly, producing a delicate texture. I prefer to capture a ripple in the character's heart in these trivial daily elements, rather than grand narratives. During post-production color grading, I also paid special attention to retaining the light and shadow transition, striving to maintain the brightness of colors without sacrificing the thickness of the shadow part. Through this delicate texture presentation, I hope everyone can feel the unique temperament of Natsume Iroha in that quiet space. Every fine-tuning of the hat angle and hair direction is to make the texture of this moment fuller.
