[Tachibana Hikari & Nozomi Tachibana cosplay] Blue Archive Highlander Twins' Pink and Cute Daily Life

This time, I'm bringing you the cosplay photoshoot of the Highlander Twins from Blue Archive, Tachibana Hikari and Nozomi Tachibana. In terms of costume preparation, this pink dress has quite a lot of details. The puff sleeves and the ruffles on the skirt hem needed careful ironing before the shoot; the cutout design on the chest and the pink heart-shaped decoration at the waist are the highlights of the outfit, which accentuate the figure nicely. To match this outfit, we chose pure White stockings and light pink chunky-heeled short boots, which visually keep the overall color tone unified and prevent it from looking monotonous due to the large expanse of pink. For the wig, to recreate the character's fluffy, airy feel, I trimmed the blunt bangs and styled the long green hair. The pink headband on top of the head plus the translucent green halo prop are things that require special attention in both pre-production and post-processing; the angle of the halo must be adjusted at any time to ensure it looks natural in front of the lens. For the elf ear accessories, I used skin wax to slightly blend the edges, and the makeup focused heavily on a large expanse of pink blush and green colored contacts to stay as close to the original design's color palette as possible. Duo shooting tests the tacit understanding between two people the most. For the first photo, we wanted a quieter vibe: the character on the left leans her body slightly forward with both hands supporting her on the ground, while the person on the right has her hands crossed to rest under her chin. For this ground-supporting action, it's actually quite hard to find the center of gravity for the arms; you need to tighten your core so you don't look stiff. For the second photo, we switched to a livelier pose, both pointing at our cheeks and pointing upward together, which makes the frame look more vivid. Maintaining a kneeling posture for too long does make your legs go a bit numb, especially wearing high heels, which is quite a test for the insteps. However, being able to cosplay twin characters together with a partner makes the process still very joyful. The two of us needed to constantly adjust the distance of our sitting postures to ensure that when our shoulders leaned against each other, the clothing wrinkles wouldn't look messy, while also coordinating our gazes to match looking at the lens. This combination of White stockings and a pink dress reacts strongly to light in a white studio with ample lighting; by just slightly adjusting the reflector's angle, you can capture a very translucent feel. We are quite satisfied with the final result, and hope it captures that unique intimacy exclusive to twins.
