When the intertwined blue and white tones filled the entire photo studio, I truly felt where the core of this main photo set lay. This time I cosplayed Anastasya from Genshin Impact, better known as The Tsaritsa. From makeup and styling to props, this photo set actually took quite a long time to prepare. First, let's talk about the wig and makeup. To fit the snow and ice theme, the wig was chosen in a grayish cool-toned silver-white, with trimmed bangs and sideburns. The contact lenses were chosen in a high-saturation ice blue, paired with blue blending at the outer corners of the eyes, trying to restore that fierce feeling belonging to the queen. The elf ear props were stuck on very firmly, but wearing them for a long time still made the root of the ears a bit sore. The headwear is the soul of this styling: an ice-crystal crown plus pearl chains, with deep blue flower decorations on top, fixed with several bobby pins to ensure it wouldn't fall off no matter how I moved. The neck ornament around the neck was embedded with a golden gemstone in the middle, adding a bit of layering within the cool tones. The material of the outfit is quite rich; the strapless bustier part is made of white leather with subtle patterns, featuring a blue ice-crystal bow on the chest. The arm part adopts split sleeve cuffs, with fluffy white fur collars on top and wide dark blue sleeve hems at the bottom that flutter as soon as you move. It is paired with inner white long gloves, and the left forearm was intentionally added with cyan-blue vine-like decorations, filling up the details. The lower body skirt features a high-slit design, embellished with golden lines on the sides, revealing white tights when walking. To capture great results, I specially wore slightly thicker White stockings, so that under the strong studio lights, there wouldn't be any strange see-through transparency. The staff prop held in hand is what tests physical strength the most. The long handle combined with the cross-wing design at the top makes it relatively lightweight, but holding it up for a long time still makes the wrists sore. During shooting, I needed to continuously adjust the holding height to form a stable triangular composition between the staff, face, and body. The background setup was done with great care. Pure white Roman columns and hollowed-out arches were matched together, and the draping white gauze gave the entire space a palace-like feel. The floor was covered with a white plush blanket, surrounded by blue-and-white floral arrangements, crystal candle holders, and birdcages. To keep the frame from looking too flat, I tried many things with sitting postures. When sitting sideways, one leg must be extended naturally, which not only allows the skirt hem to spread out well but also nicely showcases the White stockings and body curves. Sometimes I needed to raise my arms high to let the wide sleeve hems drop naturally, increasing the dynamism of the frame. Throughout the shooting process, I kept adjusting my breathing, trying to make my gaze look calm yet carrying a bit of detachment. The temperature in the studio was relatively low, but wearing this outfit actually felt just right. To capture details from different angles, we repeatedly tested the lighting in different corners of the set, striving to make the ice-blue texture more translucent in the lens. From front half-body to large-scale full-body, every shot was searching for the most suitable light and shadow angle. I hope this photo set can convey that aloof yet noble temperament.
