[Hoshimi Miyabi cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: Hollow Special Operations Section 6 Section Chief on Duty Record

Preparing to properly present Hoshimi Miyabi cosplay this time around was far more complicated than anticipated. From fabric selection to prop craftsmanship, every single step was carefully weighed. I spent ages choosing the cyan fabric for the outerwear; to recreate that sharp, crisp texture, considerable effort went into the harness and strap details. The wide yellow strap around the neck printed with lettering and the character "静" (Calm), paired with a white collared shirt and black necktie, instantly instilled that solemn, disciplined demeanor upon putting it on. For gloves, I chose tactical gloves featuring mesh panels and red accent lines, adding substantial authenticity when gripping the blade. The wig had its blunt bangs trimmed, which, combined with the oversized black plush beast ears on my head, brought out the character's presence. The crimson contact lenses were the finishing touch; paired with reddish eye makeup, looking into the mirror made even myself feel my gaze had grown razor-sharp.

The mechanical weapon prop in hand was genuinely hefty; holding it for extended periods made my hands ache, but to achieve great results, I pushed through to hold my form. To channel the commanding aura of the Hollow Special Operations Section 6 Section Chief, I deliberately straightened my back and kept my gaze sharply focused. Controlling the weapon during the shoot was crucial—subtle features like the white panel splicing on the blade and the red circular accents had to read clearly on camera. The tactical straps on the uniform tended to shift out of place during posing, requiring frequent pauses to readjust and ensure visual rigor.

For this shoot, I specifically brought along my collected Little Agent blind box figures by Play Infinite, lining them up neatly across the front of the table. Seeing these chibi figures with their red eyes was wonderfully endearing. Between takes, I couldn't resist picking them up to interact with them, feeling as if I were holding a briefing with miniature comrades from a parallel world—a delightfully fun scene. The paint finish and craftsmanship on the Little Agent blind box figures were unexpectedly exquisite, each capturing distinct expressions and quirks; setting them across the desk felt like establishing a miniature base of operations.

Lighting calibration was equally vital during the session: frontal fill lighting emphasized facial makeup nuances and garment fold textures. When posing in the studio, keeping track of the weapon's angle and glove grip was essential to the frame's visual balance. Although the gloves occasionally slipped slightly while handling the props, these minor hurdles were easily overcome for the sake of the overall aesthetic. Overall, the final output hit our expectations. Bringing a character I love to life like this and posing alongside so many charming official merchandise items made the arduous process deeply fulfilling. From wardrobe styling and prop handling to set staging, every shoot adds valuable experience and grants new insight into controlling dynamic tension in poses.
