[Astra Yao cosplay] The Overture to Victory Has Sounded, June Cosplay Convention Photos Released

"The next song is the overture to victory!" This slogan feels amazing as an opening. This time, I'm posting the second batch of Cosplay convention photos for Astra Yao's Fes skin. It's been in preparation for a long time, and I can finally present this set of photos completely to everyone.

This costume is highly eye-catching with its black, white, and red color combination. The black off-the-shoulder crop top, layered with a white-base square buckle collar design and paired with a bright red bow, creates a clear visual focus. The half-open zipper of the clothing perfectly coordinates with the metallic grommet leather belt at the waist, nailing the character's both straightforward and playful vibe. Especially the buckles on the waist and the hanging metal chains give the overall styling a sense of layering, preventing it from looking flat.

For the makeup, I intentionally deepened the red blending around the eyes. Combined with the black straight-bangs wig and the red headband, it brings the stage energy to the max. When doing my makeup, the photographer and I discussed that there was no need for excessive skin smoothing; retaining the real light, shadow, and skin texture fits the character's sense of realism better. Sure enough, after the final photos came out, the slightly grainy image effect turned out exceptionally well.

The lower body pairing is also a part of this photo set that I really love. The white short skirt, patched with black borders, echoes the Black tights outfit. Meanwhile, the tights specifically feature distressed and patchwork designs, adorned with small bows on the legs, which, together with the thick-soled white boots, shape the leg contours beautifully. During the shoot, sitting on that white rolling suitcase allowed my legs to stretch out naturally. Whether bending my knees or crossing my legs, it made my state in front of the lens appear relaxed and comfortable.

I also tried several different poses this time. The shot where I leaped into the air is one I am particularly satisfied with; the moment I raised the microphone, my entire body opened up along with gravity, giving a very exhilarating feeling. To capture that perfect instant, I jumped many times, and the photographer's snapshot was incredibly precise. The close-up where I stretch out my hand and point straight at the camera focuses all attention entirely on the gaze. The moment I look into the lens, I feel as if I have become the ruler of the center stage.

As for props, the black sunglasses and microphone also helped tremendously. Spinning the sunglasses in my hand or holding them casually matched the overall cool style perfectly. The choice of venue was also brilliant—a closed space similar to an underground garage. A single light source shining down from directly overhead on site perfectly created a light-dark contrast. The dark tone of the background made the subject stand out even more, making it especially suitable for this theme's atmosphere.

The cooperation of new poses and new props brought by the second batch of convention photos allowed the entire set of pictures to have more expressions of my own style, on top of showcasing the character's charm as an Anime cosplay. Being able to let friends who follow me feel this kind of atmosphere through this set of photos makes me feel all the preparation and hard work were worth it. Finally, special thanks to photographer Ryujin nightfall for his dedicated shooting. The final images this time aimed to present a natural, confident, and somewhat theatrical stage tension, and I hope everyone thoroughly enjoys it.
